The US Army just released its new slogan and recruitment video today. Any guesses on what the new slogan is? “Be All You Can Be.” Yup! It’s back.
If you were wondering what the classics were like, here is a taste:

It’s about time the Doggies cleaned up their act. 🙂
The recent recruitment ads featuring a fictitious cartoon female raised by two moms etc. are not an accident. They are an attempt to populate our military services with exactly the sort of people we don’t want in them. It’s not wokeness as much as a coup attempt.
Looks like someone in authority put a stop to that kind of crap. The military by its very nature has massive diversity.
Wokeness breaks unity and unity is necessary to winning. You put on a uniform, you abandon tribalism and group sectionality for a larger cause.
The thought that chills me is that command stuffed shirts like milley (sp?) want the army to be ‘fully woke’; because – when (not if) they turn that army loose against the conservatives who are threatening ‘our democracy’, by insisting on following the rules – the wokeist military won’t refuse the command. It’s early, the coffee hasn’t kicked in and this is mere speculation,,,
but still
That is exactly what I meant by a ‘coup attempt’ and no, I don’t think you’re being paranoid or unreasonable at all.
It is unlawful to use Federal Military Assets against American Citizens on American soil. The law that pertains is the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878.
However, that law has been so watered down by subsequent regulations as to become arbitrary in application.
It’s not just the Democrats who are willing to employ form over substance in violation of the principles of the Posse Comitatus Act. Donald Trump did this by invoking Title 32 status which allowed him de facto command of the National Guard from states outside the District of Columbia. Title 32 allowed Trump the form of keeping the Posse Comitatus Act while giving him the substance of command of State National Guard units. Meaning that Trump used real soldiers against American civilians. That is something the Posse Comitatus Act was meant to prevent.
Trump’s excuse was the rioting following the George Floyd incident. There are other solutions than employing military forces to quell rioting in Washington DC but Trump chose to go the military route. This is something that did not go unnoticed by the Democrat Left that wished to remove Donald Trump from office.
The Democrat Left will be more than happy to use such dubious legal breaches of the Posse Comitatus Act against us once they have control of a military willing to do their bidding. They will use the smoke screen of form to hide or justify the substance of using Federal Troops against American civilians.
This is a very real danger and one that we should not give them precedence to apply by doing it ourselves.
Further, one of the main original exceptions to the Posse Comitatus Act allows the POTUS to use Federal Military Assets in response to an insurrection …
Sound familiar?
For the record I think Trump did the right thing to restore civil order but there are better, ‘more right’ things that could have been done. I don’t think there’s a genuine danger, yet, of a Republican President using military force on a significant scale against American civilians to advance his own personal policies.
I do think that the Democrat Left will use such actions as an excuse to, as you say, “protect our Democracy”.
And all the Left has to do is redefine what constitutes an insurrection to do that.
To me the Left appears to be trying to do that with maximum effort.
Its about time! Positive straight forward. No wokeness, no division. Maybe now recruiting will improve.
Hopefully this isn’t a closeted recruitment tool promising to pay for trans surgeries.
Me too. But at least such nonsense was not mentioned.
