Do you know what would make unique, riveting, and highly unusual television? One calendar year WITHOUT impeachment coverage of a major political official. This week’s installment of the Cavalcade of Impeachments brings us to Texas, and Bill, Steve and Scott are there to talk about how what should be sad, sorrowful and RARE proceedings have become the norm, and the price that we pay for that as a republic.

Note to Steve Green: Impeachment is the bringing of charges – like an indictment. The House DID impeach Trump twice – brought charges. There was only one (legitimate) trial though. The second impeachment ‘trial’ was, as you noted, not the real deal, for the reason you stated. But Trump was impeached twice.
This is the leftist/deep state side of Texas taking on a guy who is a hero of the people. And it is all BS. Paxton took on the swamp when he suggested the head guy there should resign due to his being drunk on the job. Or close to that… Note that the Texas R party is just barely R- we still haven’t recovered from Ann Richards. Oh, and he made the mistake of defeating a Bush in the last election.
It is vitally important for RINO’s and leftists to keep sham impeachments going so that when we actually do impeach their very deserving president, people will be bored with it and think it is just more of the same.
I’d like to note that Bill’s mention of Kabuke also applies to the J6 hearings. They were illegal, and yet they are trying to convict Peter Navarro of contempt for ignoring their demands.
In a nutshell, the Republican AG is guilty of defeating the heir apparent, George P Bush, in the election.
The Texas Heist….here is lots of additional info.. we supposedly have a Republican Majority….Ha… it is still republicans run by Bush and Rove…our left leaning RINO’s

Pardon my Texas-size rant, but that was 20 minutes I’ll never get back. For a bonafide ‘R/A’ junkie, this was a disappointment. To the Left, Texas is the Grand Prize and they’ve been trying to turn it BLUE for decades…..and this latest political theatre suggests that they are succeeding – at least in the halls of state gov’t. In the Texas House, the Speaker, ‘Drunk Dade Phelan’, was chosen for his ability to deliver the majority party (R) members to the Left for his own political and personal gain. Proof lies in the fact that they just wrapped-up a legislative session that accomplished ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that the people of Texas actually want (border enforcement, school reform, election integrity, etc.), but on the last day of session they managed to bring charges against the most effective AG in the US, one with a 90% win rate in defending the interests of the people of Texas against Federal overreach, i.e., Joe Biden’s cabal that is using all means available to thwart the will of the people. If the Texas RINOs allow this circus to succeed in removing Paxton, I will have to renounce my R-affiliation and switch to “L”. Don’t Mess with Texas!
To be fair to the guys; Scott said at the onset this was not about the merits (or lack thereof) in this case. But rather a discussion on the use of impeachment and the Kabuki theater that it seems to be. All three stated that they didn’t have sufficient knowledge of the specifics to provide an opinion on this case. It was simply a launching point.
As to the so-called republicans in Texas. I have no cause to doubt that they are remnants of Bush/Cheney find me a war group. I have also seen evidence that there are quite a few who were D that switched to R in order to get elected. That so-called super majority being rendered a gelding.
From afar Paxton seemed like a rising start in Rep politics; perhaps explaining why he needed to be taken out politically.
One need look no farther than John Cornyn to realize how deep state the Texas R party actually is. We got Ted somehow, but even he had to battle a stiff battle from the likes of Beto.
Beto, poor boy, has to run because its the only way he can make a living. The poor kid has absolutely no talent, so he couldn’t even be hired by Starbucks. But he has a huge election war chest. So, to access that money he has to be continuously running for something. That way he can write off his living, travel, and general expenses to public office seeking.
This would make a great expose for an actual journalist. How wealthy people become just running for high office.
Don’t forget that Bernie hired his wife’s company to do his ad buys, thus funneling 15% of his campaign spend to his families’ bank account.
With Biden and Hilary before him never facing real consequences, with Big Media making sure that anything and everything incriminating is hush-hush, with the Dems marching lock-step complicit in lies, justice and politics won’t ever exist simultaneously.
ICYMI…Your Rumble videos have been maxed out at 480p since the one about Oliver Anthony…20 days ago. Not one is in your usual 720p. That’s a bigger deal for people with my affliction. So I am left to only rip them from The BeastTube. Which means you won’t get any view count for it at all…just FYI.
So 2 idiots downvoted this? What, do you want their content to be sub-par and loose more viewers? I’d rather know about issues to correct them. But you’d rather they suffer the loss? Why to go morons!
That’s so nice. Your little name-calling rant completely discredits your position.
Perhaps the two “idiots”, as you so crassly declare, are tired of the constant complaints about technical issues that are better addressed via the “Contact” link at the top of every page.
Perhaps the gentlemen responsible for the video uploads have NO control over or don’t know how to control how the streaming platforms are sampling the resolution. Thus, providing technical suggestions of your own via the aforementioned “Contact” link would be more helpful than constantly griping about the low video quality of the video stream.
Now there are some things to consider rationally instead of throwing a keyboard tantrum on this formum.
I stopped contacting them because they pass it off to Shelley now, and she isn’t as tech savvy, and I’d rather not bother her with it. Because I have to be extra specific on the tech issues. Also, I save that for more urgent issues.
Now, as for who or why it’s not reaching its proper resolution…I don’t care who’s at fault. I’m just reporting the issue where it’s easiest for me. And I didn’t throw any “tantrum’s”. I just report the issue, and explain how my “necessary” workaround adversely affects their views.
As for the two “IDIOTS” that assume they know anything about me or what I am doing here…calling them idiots doesn’t discredit my report in the slightest. It only amplifies the ignorance of two people here. Let me guess, you were one, right?
B.M. (incredibly apt initials) doesn’t care about solving technical issues. He’s not a tech type, he just looks things up on the internet and gives the solutions as though they were his own expertise.
He cares about virtue signalling how amazingly wonderful he is. He’s displaying his empty virtue by showing everyone how much he hates YouTube. He thinks this makes him a better (something) than the rest of us and has said so previously …
I’ll be happy to provide proof of that if you like.
Very likely Bill is doing the uploading and the uploads go much faster if converted to a lower resolution. That makes a much smaller file size to upload. The lower resolution is likely intentional and equally likely is Bill doesn’t care because the site makes so little money from Rumble that it’s just not worth the effort. Rumble’s monetization schemes and policies are laughable.
Silly Bill Whittle, he’d rather pay his bills than please B.M. That makes B.M. very, very angry.
What makes him even more angry is that clearly everyone involved in the site is ignoring his “helpful suggestions”. He’s obviously not smart enough to realize that
No proof needed. Thanks tho’.
One more observation that is blatantly obvious to me … this is a talk show without any need for graphics — the video quality is irrelevant for the message.
Good catch.
Notice he says …
“Rip” means he’s capturing these videos and complaining that his piracy* isn’t the higher quality he’d like lit to be. That’s the only reason for his complaint because as you point out if all he wanted was the message for his own personal use then he doesn’t need the video at all.
This is copyrighted material and I think it’s fairly certain that Bill and Co. have not granted him reproduction and distribution rights.
When it comes to things like YouTube and other online streaming platforms you’re allowed by law to LINK to the video on the platform but not download and capture it without written permission.
I think someone needs to look and see if Bill’s content is being posted in an unauthorized channel. That’s stealing views …
He told on himself, proof that we’re not dealing with the sharpest knife in the drawer.
(*I’m no virgin or wilting wallflower when it comes to online piracy. I’m a computer geek and I certainly know how to capture and use pirated content. It’s not something I would for any reason do to people I consider to be friends and allies. So much for his altruistic claims about his intentions being “helpful”. Now we know why he makes such a fuss about this stuff.)
Well, let’s hope that the “ripping” is for personal private use only; however, I cannot claim to know/understand the laws surrounding such usage.
I think we can count on B.M. saying it’s for personal private use or something else he will claim to be benign either way. Going by past performance he’ll probably say he’s “archiving” stuff for BWC because he thinks they don’t know how to archive their own content. B.M. being of course so very much smarter than the rest of us, just ask him.
It’s still illegal and a copyright infringement. I do know the laws in this matter, it’s part of what I do for a living. At least prior to my retirement that is.
I don’t really care about that, policing their own piracies is no more my concern than any other aspect of how Bill & Co. operate their business. That said, if this guy keeps it up I’m going to go hunting for pirated BWC content just for my own amusement. If I find some, what happens after that will be highly amusing for me too.
I’m just using this as yet another example of what a hmm… “piece of ‘work'” B.M. is.
I’ve intentionally triggered him many times in the past, I like doing that sort of thing but I’m a prick. There are good reasons for that which I’m not going to expand upon in here. I’m not a prick by nature, it’s something I’ve had to learn.
I think you’re seeing what was obvious to me months, maybe years, ago. Which you once called me being “harsh” for pointing out. You’re on his shit list now, no matter how reasonable you try to be you’re not getting off it. B.M does not respond positively to ‘reasonable’ when he’s decided you’re a foe. If you do anything but agree with and praise him you’re a foe. So you might as well enjoy it and welcome to the club.
He’s also slippery as an eel, he appears to have a lot of experience at that. ‘Slippery’ is not the same thing as clever, BTW. I’ve seen this sort of behavior many, many times. It’s almost always exhibited by substance addicts who have had a “prison conversion”. Almost always but not universally so. If that’s not the case then it’s a personality disorder with even darker implications.
Neither does he, obviously. Because it’s not piracy. Content providers can block downloading in their settings.
Well, your assertion not entirely accurate. If the content providers block the download of the content, then the audience would not be able to view/stream the content at all. Sure, the direct “saving” of the file to disk can be “blocked,” but without direct control over the client, nobody can block analog capture. In fact, I can imagine a mechanism to bypass such “blocking” by dynamically storing the browser cache as the player streams the content. Your generalization is technically flawed.
Yeah, you can always “screen rip”…of course, but the quality is usually very low. I think that’s clearly “not” what I was referring to.
As for the other reply, you said: “this is a talk show without any need for graphics — the video quality is irrelevant for the message.”
However, with my particular “set of malady’s”, to be more specific…it is quite relevant. I’ve attempted to explain it to your ‘buddy’ there, but I think it went over his head too. It’s okay though, it’s not easy to comprehend for me or the doctors…lol. Sensory Integration Disorder, with everything else mixed in…yet the “whole” story is actually very positive. Miraculous in “fact.” I just rarely get to tell it all.
Also, I admit, early on, I worded comments rather poorly here, and even been a bit passive-aggressive. I’ve curbed that, but I guess first impressions stick. So perhaps I need a little more patience and understanding too.
That’s all true and of course B.M. hasn’t a clue what he’s talking about. What you’re alluding to is how pirates pirate movies and TV shows. An ‘on the fly’ exact copy can be made at whatever quality the original content is streamed at.
They usually capture it at whatever the max is because then they can rework the file to whatever resolutions they want so long as it’s the same or lower. It’s easier and you get a better result from downmixing than from upmixing.
Though I gotta say my Yamaha AVR does a dandy job of upmixing.
If that were not true then there wouldn’t be 4k copies of Barbie and Indiana Jones (etc., lots and lots of etc.) running around the web. And there most certainly are, with full Dolby Atmos sound too. Just like it was streamed the first time when the pirate captured it.
They used to have to wait for the DVD to come out, then rip the media and strip all the DRM stuff so it would play. Streaming made pirating a lot easier and you don’t have to go out and buy a DVD anymore. They just use a stolen credit card to subscribe to whatever streaming services they want.
There are still people sitting in theaters with cameras too, but they’re terrible copies and only desperate people watch those.
The platforms send it compressed, the capture occurs by duplication during the decompression process. I’m not going to get more technical than that, I’m sure BWC doesn’t need people giving piracy lessons on this site. I’m sure that’s enough for you to get the gist of it though.
There is a “download” button on YouTube. If you click it you can save the content locally, with all ithe DRM intact. That’s not the same thing as a “rip” or “ripping”.
So “rip” was a slip. Either he told on himself or he was trying to just use jargon to make himself seem competent. To be honest, probably the latter. Dude’s full of crap.
You’d think a guy who’ “was hacking back when you had to manually put your phone on the modem to get on the internet” would know the difference between a straight download and a rip.
But then he’d probably know also that when that kind of modem was in common use the internet hadn’t become available yet. That modem type died off back when BBSs were the thing. In fact, he would know that by the time Tim Berners Lee invented the World Wide Web, which he’s mistakenly calling the internet, modems hadn’t used telephone handsets for years.
And check out this silly crap he says about “screen rip”. RME
He doesn’t know a thing about this. I retract my speculation that he’s pirating this site’s content. He’s trying to sound like he knows what he’s talking about and failing miserably.
Pretty sloppy for someone that claims he’s been “hacking” for 50 years or better. Back then we called it ‘”cracking” but that got taken over by people who crack software licences. “Hacking” was a Hollywood term that came into common use later.
We also called it “phreaking”, phone phreaking used to be a major thing. I knew guys that had “blue boxes” that they could use to make free unlimited duration calls pretty much anywhere in the world.
He’s got a malady alright; compulsive lying. He so badly doesn’t even know what he doesn’t know he doesn’t know he sounds ridiculous.
Wow, piracy? It’s free to download from YouTube. If a channel doesn’t want you to DL their content, they have the option in their settings. You can’t DL from some channels because of it. Wow, if you were only as intelligent as you like others to believe…
And there it is. Ignorance of my disorder leaves you to postulate that I’m being petty. You both make wild assumptions as to my intentions. Neither of you have any clue, and I wouldn’t wish my malady on anyone, but walk a mile in another man’s shoes before you judge. I answer to only One Judge, and you’re not Him.
If you were actually paying any attention to details of what I’ve said in this thread, then you’d know that I have made NO (zero, zip, nada) assumptions about your malady. You started this back-and-forth by referring to two unknown individuals, who obviously disliked/disagreed with your original post, as “idiots.” Thus, if you would’ve followed your own implied advice in that nasty little cartoon graphic, then you’d never have made that first response to which I replied.
As I sarcastically-stated at the outset, “that’s so nice.”
Told ‘ya, you’re on his shit list now. Unless you kiss the place where he’s put his head in that childish cartoon you’re not getting off of it either.
I can’t wait to see if he claims he’s the girl in that absurd picture That would make him a transvestite on top of everything else. If B.M. is trans that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That would go nicely with his cranial deformity. Solid bone from ear to ear.
Yeah, I don’t care at all. The only one of those lists that worries me belongs to my wife. I work hard to stay off of that one. There will be NO kissing of head pockets by me.
Lol, a thoroughly rational perspective.
Son, I was hacking back when you had to manually put your phone on the modem to get on the internet. lol
YYSSW, Sport.
Kabuki theater
PS: this is one of the more meaty topics being discussed by the guys today. Glad to see it, compared to some of the “softer” issues covered over the last few weeks.
Sorry guys. In Texas, democrats can only win in a very limited number of districts. Therefore, the “Republicans” are rife with democrats who ran as Republicans. The speaker of the house, Dade Phelan is a democrat disguised as a Republican. This whole impeachment trial is a sham against the one truly conservative Republican in a State full of RINOS.
I agree with Steve (and Bill) that we should be having more impeachments (but serious ones), although I am not sure I agree that the punishment (upon conviction) should be more than the political removal from current and future office. If parallel illegal activities were also committed, then pursue those in a normal law enforcement venue after the impeachment (with or without Senate conviction, as the case may be).
The fact that we no longer seem to have similar ideas about just what constitutes “high crimes and misdemeanors”, even though most of us would say “we know it when we see it” says we have lost some level of civil and social agreement that we used to have before (before the Great Depression and New Deal, or when ??? I am not sure). Bill’s phrase “moral freefall” is a good descriptive phrase for our situation today. We definitely need to Make America Virtuous Again (MAVA) before we can realistically MAGA! For me, the prime virtue here is for honesty and facing reality, especially by our news media.
But public service is also supposed to be the (part time, 12 year span max?) sacrifice* that the best among us make as a duty, in exchange for the otherwise free and prosperous life we have been leading. These participants are expected to be people of integrity (to use Steve’s phrase), and avoid even the appearance of “impropriety”. In fact, impropriety is part of the definition of “misdemeanors” in my mind. Clearly the angels have left the building.
“That’s on us” — similar to P. J. O’Rourke’s Parliment of Whores.
Serious processes … put in place by serious people (aka the Founders) …
Can we now impeach Nancy Pelosi for pursuing a kabuki theater “impeachment” in Jan. 2021.
“Make it clear to the American people … ” that you are in fact sovereign over this consented government, and it is time you started to act like it. We elect representatives to perform the governance we can’t or don’t know how to do ourselves, but it looks like we are going to have to step up and do the job ourselves for a while, until a better class of reps is in place. [But most of us are happy with our reps, most of the time, or we would not re-elect them, so the real problem is “those other people” electing those idiots from other jurisdictions (AOC, Maxine Waters, et al.).]
*Being a judge or justice is a high status “job”, typically now requiring specialized education and demonstrated wisdom and experience in the law, not public service in the sense that I mean it here. We can discuss whether judges should be selected and vetted by the executive and legislative branches, or seek election on their own merits, as happens in many states.
My understanding of the word peer would mean that Scott’s description of those who should be on a jury is exactly opposite of what the founders prescribed. When a business man is put on trial for claims that he used illegal or unethical business practices, it is fair ONLY if the jury understands the legal operation of business. That is NOT how our system currently works. Our system, as it is today, is a jury of people who couldn’t figure out how to get out of serving on a jury.
There is an additional category of jurors:
I know that my wife and I have done our jury service in the past with the full understanding that it is a civic duty, which is not to be avoided regardless of personal preferences.
While I tend to agree with Scott that the theater that is Impeachment has now become absurd and criminal prosecutions should happen instead, when the system is so obviously corrupt that only one side faces criminal prosecution and the other side can seemingly get away with anything; then theater is all we are left with.
If Hil can store emails on her own private server in blatant disregard for the law but Trump gets prosecuted for having documents he took from the WH in a safe; that is corruption.
When Biden has documents that he was not entitled to have in his garage and Mike Pence can say “oops, my bad” and just turn some in; that is corruption.
When FBI agents and Sr “intelligence” community people conspire to make up “russian collusion” out of whole cloth are not held to account; but actual collusion with the Bidens and the CCP and Ukraine and Russia are ignore; that is corruption.
If we had a legitimate “Press” that would report and “Media” that would share stories like Hunter’s Laptop and possible bribery of Joe, that would be different.
Glad Bill brought up Lois Lerner because that was the point at which one party realized that they could do anything without accountability.
In the absence of a Free Press doing its job; theater may be the only choice.
Given that the majority of TX Lawmakers are from the same party it will be interesting to see what happens as I thought Paxton was going to run after Abbott fulfilled his term.
I will have a separate comment later about Bill’s point of flushing the entire House every two years.
Haven’t listened to the video yet, but … your last paragraph sounds promising: so flash your enfilade on flushing, flagrantly! 🙂
I think that this knowledge is much older than the Lerner fiasco. Consider Bill Clinton’s public circus. For crying out loud, Joe Biden has been a liar for at least 47 years in office. Older events?
I hear you, David. But at least at the time when Biden was found to have plagiarized in law school he got shut down from running for president at that time.
And Slick Willy did go through impeachment and wasn’t he disbarred which is some consequence. Post Barry there are absolutely no consequences.
It is unclear to me if there were any consequences for Barry, so I suppose we need to say post Bush. However, even GW got away with dragging us into a 20-ish year war. I know, I know, the bloody terrorists started it, but I was never totally convinced that invading Afghanistan and Iraq was justifiable. I suppose he learned from his father’s example in that. Any excuse to keep the oil flowing.
Sigh … my ramblings are as disjointed and ineffectual as always.
Conflict of opposing interests has always been a facet of the human condition. War is the most blatant example. Prior to WWII war was generally between opposing armed forces and if there were civilian casualties they were incidental/accidental collateral damage.
That changed by policy during WWII. Civilians were intentionally targeted. The assumption was that the enemy population was integral to support for the enemy war effort and therefore became legitimate targets. Bombing of enemy war production facilities like ball bearing factories morphed into bombing of civilian urban centers as was seen in the London Blitzkrieg and the firebombing of Dresden. This policy of attacking non-military civilian targets is known as ‘Total War’.
It should be noted that the Nazis “started this” with the Blitzkrieg. As with so many things, once the barn door is opened and the cows get out it becomes nearly impossible to put them all back in again. Meaning that a reversion to an earlier more ‘civilized’ policy rarely happens.
Indeed, rather than a reversion being implemented such things more tend to spread to other areas of conflict.
In this case the takeover of the Democrat Party by the radical Leftists has resulted in a form of political ‘total war’. We’re not playing the same game by the same rules as was previously the case in American politics.
The reasons and mechanisms for this phenomena are varied and complex. Things like the Frankfurt School are important facets in this dark gem. Communism is evil in itself but it is only a tool of Great Evil. The proof of this is if you could somehow eradicate Communism from the planet you would still be faced with the Great Evil that spawned and fed Communism.
Communism was and is an excuse for political total war. An “anything goes as long as you win” attitude. This has morphed over time to cast off some of the most blatant errors of Communism while retaining the appeal of human jealousy as a prime mover. The baseline of Communism at its root is envy and envy is not restricted solely to Communism. Envy is always a primary tool of evil.
Those who see Communism as the chief enemy are mistakenly missing the bigger picture.
With the collapse of the Soviet Union we saw actual Marxist Communism abandoned but we did not see the underlying evil abandoned with it. Russia did not miraculously morph into a modern Democratic Republic. The evil underlying the Russian State simply changed clothes and rebranded itself. It became an evil oligarchy, at totalitarian State run by criminals. Criminals with nuclear weapons. Which at its core is no different than the Evil that was the Communist Soviet Union.
To think otherwise is simply a matter of naive ignorance. It is Evil that is the problem, Communism is only an arrow in the quiver of Great Evil. If you don’t recognize and acknowledge that Great Evil, which will always be with us, is the actual driver — Then you cannot effectively combat an enemy you do not even acknowledge exists. Because you will be fighting the symptom not the disease.
I’m not saying that Communism should not be opposed. You fight Evil by opposing it wherever you find it. I’m simply saying that Evil will not be vanquished if you rid the world of Communism. When the Soviet Union fell many made the mistake of thinking a wooden stake had been driven into the heart of political Evil. That proved not to be the case.
The lessons Evil learned from Communism were not lost on Evil over the rest of the world. The tools of deception, envy, falsehood and political total war were not contained, they spread. To the American Left.
This is how we find ourselves today contending with the Evil of the American Left. You cannot fight Evil with Evil because either way Evil wins. Steve Green is correct in saying, paraphrasing here, that we want to belong to the side that is not Evil.
The only way we even have a non-Evil side to belong to is if we can avoid becoming as evil as our political enemies.
Great comment.
Besides the insightful dichotomy described by Thomas Sowell as constrained vs. unconstrained visions; and the wisdom about human nature incorporated in Jewish scripture via the “Fall” or “original” sin; perhaps this recent short presentation by Tom Klingenstein is part of the path of returning to sanity and reality: Racism in America Today: A Real or Manufactured Problem?

Excellent! Thank you…
Thank you for taking the time to say so and you’re most welcome.
Time after time, the Democrat party refuses to hold its members accountable either through impeachment or criminal charges. When Republicans show backbone and discipline their own, the Dems claim that it is proof the other side is corrupt and evil. Although I would not recommend abandoning one’s moral compass, it is frustrating to feel punished for doing what is right.
