I’m forced to agree with the assertion made by the Washington Post that politics had nothing to do with what they did to Nicholas Sandmann. It was a deeply personal malice for the young man who stood his ground in the face of their abuse. It was a visceral and deranged fury born of prejudice and hate. It would ennoble the conduct of the Washington Post to describe it as, “political”. Politics in any form of civil society at least requires its practitioners to maintain a modicum of respect for the people. The Washington Post has no respect at all for wide swatches of the American people. Political my rump.
