Please, when you are buying a book (eBook, print, paperback, hardcover), check to see if it is published by the Ingram Group. They are currently publishing the works of Marion Zimmer Bradley who sexually abused her own daughter, my friend Moira Greyland Nelson, among others. MZB, the author of The Mists of Avalon, was also married to and knew about the abuse that Walter Breen performed on minor children — including his own. If you have a strong enough stomach, you can learn more about these perverts by reading “The Last Closet” by Moira.
As someone who has survived sexual abuse, I ask that you avoid giving your hard-earned dollars to the estate of an abuser. There are so many other worthy authors out there like Brandon Sanderson who write entertaining stories. Don’t enrich MZB’s heirs — who are *not* her children/victims. She left everything to her ex-lover, Lisa, who will profit from the sales of any books and series authored by “Marion Zimmer Bradley.”
This isn’t about being pro or anti-LGBT. Personally, as long as everyone involved is over 18 and no one is being coerced, I don’t care what happens in the bedroom. But if a child is involved or if there is coercion, yes, I have a problem with that. MZB and her husband Walter Breen flat out raped children. They and the people they have chosen to profit from their works shouldn’t get any of your money. If you disagree with that, fine. That’s your right in a free society.
Just don’t think I’m going to have a whole lot of respect for someone who willingly gives their money to the beneficiaries of people who sexually abuse children.

I read Moira’s book a few years ago. I never read any of Bradley’s books, and after reading her daughter’s memoir I certainly didn’t want to.
Did not know this about Marion Zimmer Bradley. Yikes. Read some of her stuff; mainly Darkover, and never really liked it. Maybe that’s why. Thanks a lot!
