As someone who watched her father succumb to vascular dementia, I can assure you that no amount of taking Biden aside to counsel him on his inappropriate remarks will result in his changing his behavior. It WILL get worse. And if his wife and family had an ounce of compassion and love, they would intervene. His political team will continue to spin his “gaffes” as Joe being Joe, for their own political interests and careers. Sure, Biden has always had a flair for putting his foot into his mouth, but he also had a flair for recovering from it. IMHO, he no longer has that cognitive ability.
And Lord help him in a debate with DJT. For anyone with a heart, it would be painful to watch.
