Bill – Don’t think you check comments often, but my wife and I honeymooned at Sonesta Beach Hotelel in 1994. It was a lovely place. We had wanted to go back for our 25th which was when I found it had closed.
I think you had a marvelous childhood.

Great Photos. What a wonderful place to spend your childhood; But what a rude awakening to later see the real world. No wonder you got depressed.
Thanks.

Enjoyed the pics, Bill. That was the era to grow up in! Brought back my own memories of growing up… being brought up by members of the ‘greatest generation’.
Your young adult struggles… well, likewise. My Dad never spoke negatively about my college days’ desire to be an author, he and my Mom allowed me to struggle for a good long 7 years, until I allowed myself to be led (by my Mom and God) into the career I was meant to be doing, writing… software. Not a career I would ever have envisioned for myself, but it was good for me and me for it.

Thank you for your openness in this episode. I am thinking of how many people are going to now find the courage to go for help because they have seen you–the guy who looks to be in control of his life and his emotions completely–speak the truth and let us see the healing that has happened and will continue to grow. Blessings on you and Natasha for all of this.

Honeymooned at the Sonesta In Oct. 1972, me 26, my wife only 20, it was the first time we’d ever stayed at gorgeous place like that. I remember the stairs but didn’t take any pictures of them ( I just looked). I don’t remember seeing any kids, not that I would have noticed.
