Tyrants Totter: A Victory for Conservatives…But How Will You Keep It?

Revelations that Hillary Clinton’s minions may have spied on the sitting President of the United States, Bill and Zo see tyrants starting to totter. We’ve got the victory. How are we going to keep it?

Bill Whittle and Zo Rachel see signs that elitist tyrants totter, as “the peasants are revolting.” We have the victory…but how will you keep it?

Ar 10:10 Bill says today’s tyrants don’t have the power of swords, guns or rocks. They just have the power of the narrative and social proof.

Haven’t the actions of the police in Australia and Canada proven that they *do* have armed power? Does anyone doubt that Biden and leftist governors and mayors here will use whatever coercive power they think they must? I think the only people that would “rise up” if some truckers were arrested would be FBI agents and leftist provacateurs.

Excellent as always. A nit: I think there is a difference between liberal and leftist. They are not the same. As Dennis Prager often says, liberals tend to enable leftists.

A few comments on this subject…
Any government short of absolute tyranny rests on a social contract between those who govern and those who are governed. One of the fundamentals of that contract is that the governed have basic rights that you are not only required to recognize, but to secure and defend. Honoring that contract is the only reason why those you govern consent to delegate that authority to you in the first place.
You who consider yourselves to be our rulers have breached that contract, declared that you don’t have to abide by it anymore.
Very well. That contract is now null and void.
Therefore, those you believed that you governed have now withdrawn their consent to be governed by you. Yes, you can arrest them, imprison them, steal their property. But you cannot govern them. You no longer have such authority.
And it’s no good whining about it to them. The reason you no longer have it is because you threw it away. That’s not on them.

There are about 3.5 million truckers in the US. I don’t know how many of them have gotten the jab. I suspect most consider it unnecessary, considering that extreme social distancing is their normal daily routine. Those that have are likely to be in situations like mine, where my 82-year-old mother-in-law, who is immune compromised and has other serious health problems, lives in the same house with my wife and me. If my wife or I get COVID, it’s likely as not to be an annoyance, albeit possibly a severe one. If mom gets it, she almost certainly dies.
That’s why I got the jab, not because anyone told me to. But okay, if Biden demands that every trucker in the US get the jab or get fired? Somebody who was in charge of a truckers’ “association” was trying to get SCOTUS to grant a stay, back when Biden was trying to make it a federal mandate. The reason he gave was that 37% of his members had told him, “Not just no but HELL no.” Well, 3.5 million x .37 = 1,295,000. What happens if even half that many walk out? The supply chain crisis immediately becomes a food and fuel shortage, that’s what happens, and anything less essential than food and fuel becomes flatly unavailable at any price. You may also have people like me, who just might walk out along with them as a matter of principle, vaxxed or not.
So what are they going to do? Force us at gunpoint to drive trucks? Good luck with that. Watch me spend 5 hours just getting out of DFW metro, because I suddenly forgot how the accelerator works. Watch me have a rash of breakdowns, because belts, hoses, and anything else that can be seriously damaged with nothing but a pocket knife and 2 seconds work suddenly go bad at an amazing rate. Watch me suddenly forget that if you happen to mix DEF in with the diesel, you’ll end up having to replace the entire fuel system, from tank to injectors, and might end up sending the whole truck to the scrapyard.
If you decide to get into an asshole contest with me, you’ll be unhappy when it’s my turn. I promise.
And that’s just one example. Imagine the damage IT people can do. Imagine the damage accounting people can do.
So far as I can tell, Trudeau started by basically demanding food riots in every major city in Canada. But that wasn’t good enough for him, now he is demanding a run on the banks as well.
They think “the little people” are powerless. What they haven’t thought through, or are frantically hoping we won’t notice, is that “the little people” don’t have to protest, don’t have to be violent, don’t have to say a word.
All we have to do is withdraw consent. Drain your bank account, prepare for a long wait with no income, and do exactly what they demanded we do for months in 2020. Stay home. Refuse to continue to make the wheels go around. You think the toilet paper panic in the spring of 2020 was bad? Wait until not only are there no deliveries, there is no accounting, no payroll, and no IT department.

The title reminds me of after the U.S. Constitution was adopted a woman was said to have asked Ben Franklin —

“Well, Mr. Franklin, what kind of government have you given us?”

To which Franklin replied —

“A Republic, Madam. If you can keep it.”

In light of how far we’ve strayed from that ideal and considering the currently abysmal state of education in American Civics — That reply was prophetic and I have even more doubts today than Benjamin Franklin must have had when he was asked the question.

Hoi Polloi. Don’t want to be one of them, the great unwashed.
Funny that the elites, notably the Godless among them, don’t have common sense or anything that resembles a “truth meter”, preferring to wait until others define truth for them. Went you don’t believe, you’ll believe anything.

As JJ Sefton over at Ace put it, “Both sides agree that the peasants are revolting. The difference is that we see ‘revolting’ as a verb, while The Left sees it as an adjective.”
