Welcome to the “New Normal”

Welcome to the “new normal.” What does it even mean? I have
an idea. What if life was so idyllic, so peaceful, so perfect, that nothing could
ever go wrong? Is it conceivable? Absolutely! Such a place is written about in
a book called the Bible. The place is called heaven. That reality is called “normal”.

John Lennon imagined no heaven and no hell. In this case,
the words moral and immoral lose their meaning. The Hegelian dialectic of thesis
and antithesis lures one to a world of synthesis which is a fancy word for
amorality. Amorality is a concept of “lying outside the sphere to which moral
judgments apply” (Webster’s). So, the word “abnormal” would be meaningless in
such a world. The notion of contrast and conflict would never enter our minds
because opposites and anti’s could not exist.

This is the mindset of a person who refuses to acknowledge that
they live in an abnormal world and go so far as to deny their own brokenness. So,
in the mindset of the “new normal”, everything is normal. And terms such as murderer,
sexual deviant and pedophile have no intrinsic morality. Welcome to the new
normal.

To anyone looking to impose upon the world such a “new normality” without opposition, I have five words to give:

I object! Violently if necessary.
