A chilling but real possibility is that the powers behind the throne already have their patsy in training, who would be an NRA life member, white supremist skinhead neo-Nazi, Oswald type, lined up in the wings, and will make K. Harris president the good old-fashioned way, while “saving the memory” of pres. Biden through National sympathy for the slain. This very thought occurred to me immediately after the illegitimate election and well before the inauguration, as a probable way to rid the gov. of someone who was clearly a tottering old fool even before the election, and then being able to install the Communist of choice, who would have had no chance of election on her own. Furthermore, this would then give the gov. all the leverage needed to go full ahead against the NRA and all other conservative organizations and individuals, from that day forward!!!

When Kamala was on the red carpet with Montel, she was already 36 or 37. She was about to run for AG, this was a way of getting her some name recognition in CA by using the only assets she had.
Steve – your timeline is off and I think by a lot. Recall that when Kennedy was assassinated, the office of VP was vacant from Nov 22, 1963 until Jan 20, 1965. We have a mid-term election coming in less than a year and if things continue as they are a case can be made that both House and Senate will be R majority. If Joe waits until after that to step down, the VP office would be open and the next in line after Kamala would be the Speaker of the House. If R’s take over, who would that be?
Either way, there would be almost 2 years of Kamala as POTUS with likely an openly hostile House and Senate, maybe even undoing some of the damage Joe did but if nothing else making her veto legislation trying to undo the damage.
So if Joe is going to step down and the D’s want a new VP posted, it needs to happen soon.
I think Repubs want Joe Joe at the top of the ticket because he’s be so easy to beat. It should be higher than 8%!
The problem with such ideas is that the populace is fll of ignorant fools who have to potential to be hornswoggled once again. Oops. My cynicism about the average voter is showing again.
Oh, come on Scott. Que Mala could easily get elected. All you need is to have her selected by the party, avoid any kinda primary. Have the media give her fawning and highly scripted coverage. Then run her against a token Republican in an overwhelmingly Democrat electorate. Ideally in an off-year or special election.

I don’t think Moose Obama is interested in the least. She’s all about image, wealth and comfort. Being POTUS, a good one or a bad one, is still a lot of hard work and she saw first hand how much work being POTUS involves. I don’t see Moose taking on that kind of workload.
That said, I don’t see Kackling Kammy taking on that kind of workload either. She’s losing her looks and her figure so even screwing Xi Jinping and/or Vlad P. isn’t going to be an option to get her where she wants to be.
I hope you’re right, but she’d only have to do the ceremonial parts, Obama would run the show just like he’s doing now , if they wait till 23 Obama could wind up with 5 terms of ‘fundamental transformation’
Inventing a dire scenario doesn’t mean it’s a plausible threat.
Harris only got 13% support in polling for a run at the Oval Office in 2024 if Joe goes down or quits.
Moose the Wookie got even less than Kackling Kammy at 10%.
Moose got less support than Kammy, who couldn’t even finish a primary race or get one single state to back her.
If you’re polling with the Democrat Party behind Kackling Kammy you’re not doing well enough to worry about because Kammy herself has about zero chance of winning an election for POTUS.
I hope they do run Moose, she’ll be destroyed in the debates and every single despicable thing her husband did will be freshly aired. Her claim to “experience” is what? Running the “Starve the Fat Kids School Lunch Program”?
On top of that, people have to like her to vote for her and it will be very easy to point out what a complete harpy she is. Hillary made the same mistake.
She’ll get the popular Black vote but the crucial independent and swing votes will go hard against her. As will the Hispanic and of course Republican/Conservative.
The DNC knows all this, that’s why they’re not making a big effort to get her lined up for a run.

Then we already have a “First Black Woman President” and she’ll screw things up bad enough to taint that image for generations. Only immovable heritage Democrats would vote for Moose. Which they would do no matter what.
It is uncertain that another VP would ever be approved by the Senate, so these sort of questions may be completely moot.

If Kackling Kammy becomes POTUS by default when Joe goes down it’s likely she’s going to be more of a Buchanon than a Wilson. I doubt she’ll have the power and will that Wilson wielded.
I don’t think the Democrats in Congress will dare give her more than lip service hoping to preserve a remnant of their party for the next election cycle. I really doubt they’ll try to run such an unpopular ignoramus in 2024. If Joe goes down she’s going to become even more unpopular as her massive inadequacies are exposed and magnified.
Either way, whether by Wilsonian “good intentions gone wrong” (I’m being generous, Wilson was an evil man) or Buchanon-esque hand sitting and fiddling while Rome burns … It’s not a good place we find ourselves in if Kackling Kammy sits in the Oval Office.
