A local show brought up this valedictorian’s speech and I thought I’d share it here as well.

Are we sure this isn’t a tranny? Because that took balls of steel. Seriously though, I don’t think I would have called them out like that if my school was so incompetent, but dang, she sure did. Funnily enough, I also gave my valedictorian speech a week and a half ago.
Nah, she just sounds like a mama grizzly or just the kind of woman that you can see through-out history. From spies in WW2 to frontier women working right along side their men here in the US (and back in Europe) women like that have been poorly represented by a bunch of stick thin girls trying to play martial arts masters on the big screen. Linda Connor maybe, or Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley that I think the guys have mentioned in one show or another in the past are good examples.
The safe thing about calling someone out at graduation is you have your diploma in hand, or at least recorded. You did graduate and they can’t nullify that. Now, looking like a troublemaker might mean you have trouble getting a job 4 years later, but others will admire your truth telling.
