I have been meaning to type you a note for some time just to say this; thank you for the gentle jibs and laughs. So much is a mess these days, hard to find a genuine laugh. No more innocent comedians anymore. No Johnny Carsons around. Gave up the television nearly 20 years ago. What is supposed to be comedy is filthy and vile. All of it ugly and vulgar.
However, tuning in to your backstage is a joy. Thank you so much.
Not discounting the excellently thought out arguments and positions mind you. I wanted you to know you bring more than you realize.
Keep up the excellent work.
Thank you, Debra. This means a lot to Bill, Steve and me.
Furry Backlash is entirely different fetish…
I don’t remember the ‘Bronie’ episode (Trifecta??), but that was long before I found out 2 of my nephews (ages 17 and 23) are Bronies. I haven’t yet figured out what they are, what it means for boys/men to be interested in My Little Pony, but apparently there’s a lot of them out there…
Other than that, they’re normal guys, video gamers and that sort of thing…
Somebody has to be the Scott Ott here, so I’ll be Devil’s Advocate. I’ve seen no details regarding the KS event other than one side comment about “that’s not all that happened,” from a friend in Kansas. I really want more context. As a former resident of Shawnee, KS, the same county – I’d say the people are not generally idiots. Was she just pointing a finger … or was she saying something? Calmly sitting at her desk, or standing up and yelling? Innocent, wide-eyed girl – or documented history of threats and issues? Devil is in the details, and context matters. Sure, if it was just a finger and “pew, pew” then the outrage is justified. But I’d want details before I bust out the tar & feathers.
On the plus side, if the outrage is warranted I know the guys down there who will be buying feathers in bulk – they can get the tar for free.
I have been looking for a more in depth story. There has to more. A real altercation of some kind where this was just one aspect. Or a history of behavior.
The sharing features are a good idea.
Calling out the furries, eh? With all the busting a move going on, I imagine you guys rumbling with three guys in Fozzie Bear costumes, West Side Story style, Anglers vs Furries.
CNN Headline: Conservative Vlogger Uses Homophobic Slur. Co-hosts suggest tarring and feathering. Context unimportant. Outrage ensues. Dogs and Cats living together. Mass Hysteria.
In the immortal words of that famous physician, John Caravella… “Disco is dead. Thank god.”
OH! BTW: NOT a furry. My name comes from two nicknames I had when I was younger. Neither had anything to do w/ anything furry.
Try proving that in the court of public opinion.
I find the older I get, the less I care. And I care so very little.
When Bobby was in a band, he once performed in a bodysuit and (I think) a sheep mask. Somebody found a pic from the gig. That’s where the furry meme comes from.
Yea, but I heard it was last year, not when he was a kid. (Sarcasm font)

I despise the mindset that invented and perpetuates the “if you see something, say something” mantra. My mother made it very clear to me at a young age that a tattle tell was a disgusting and intolerable thing to behold.
And the DFW metroplex cops certainly have a bad rep right now.
HOT tar!
As I ponder these two police “power abuse” stories you gentlemen have discussed, I am discomfited in thoughts about the public’s negative perception of law enforcement. It’s no wonder to me given the fact that people are wired to focus on the horrible and fear-inducing events of their world.
Low bar? EVERYBODY! LIMBO!
I love the self depreciating humor of these guys. Even compared themselves unfavorably to kidney stones. Had more than one. Reset my pain scale. When asked “Describe your pain on a scale of one to ten with ten being the worst pain you have ever experienced.”, I said “Can I say thirteen?” I was not kidding. My previous ten is now between 7 & 8.
I must weigh in on this and many other Police Shootings where innocents are killed. I believe it is due to current Shoot Don’t Shoot training methods where Officer Safety and survival is paramount instead of Public Safety. The Motto to Protect and Serve means to Serve and Protect the Public. When you wear a Badge you are in effect saying in a choice between the public and myself, I lose. Modern Policing is the opposite these days.
If you strap on a gun and a badge, you need to be trained to be comfortable w/ NOT going home at the end off the shift. Public safety is more important than officer safety. If you’re not good w/ that, don’t be a cop.
