Nice episode gents. Scott with just the right amount of push to get Bill really fired up.
Though, Scott, I now have this uncomfortable image of members of the house being used to make food, and not by cooking it.
Just as a reminder to take a breather: we don’t actually know if what the leak claims Bolton is saying in his book is what he’s actually said in the book. The info from the leak may turn out to have been completely false.
As far as witnesses go, I don’t see any reason why Senate Judiciary or Foreign Relations committees don’t call the Bidens, Ciaramella, Schiff-for-brains, etc. for a “let’s take a look” hearing. Doesn’t have to be in the impeachment domain.
The Senate Budget, Banking, Select Cmte on Ethics, and probably a few more could stick their noses in and call hearings as well.
Anyway, who’s keeping Bolton from calling a newspaper or TV news reporter or talk show and say whether the NYT’s stories are correct?
John Bolton’s entry into this kerfuffle at this time reminds me of the woman who witnessed OJ driving his Ford Bronco at a high rate of speed, coming from the direction of his murdered wife’s home and headed in the direction of his own home, at about the time the murder took place. She wasn’t called to testify because she had sold her story to the National Enquirer. John Bolton selling a book seems eerily similar…
Bill got to it in the end , one does not have to prove non-guilt, nor does anyone have to disprove every allegation of wrong doing someone makes.

In the Senate Trial, John Roberts smiled after reading the question from Chuck Shumer. Did CJ Roberts give legal advice to Shumer? He looked out at the direction of Shumer and smiled. He neither smiled at questions before nor questions after Shumer’s. A picture is worth a thousand words.
I heard a lot of “why not let Justice Roberts decide” from the House Manager’s side. In more ways than one have the maniacal Dems tainted this impeachment and now they want to ruin the separation of powers between the House and the Senate. It is not the Senate’s job to clean up the flagrant failed Democrat impeachment mess by demanding more witnesses. They couldn’t connect the dots for their dot-umentary! Boo Hoo. MAGA 2020

Bolton’s statement was inserted in the book as bait and it worked. I suspect most of the book was written years ago before 2016. Most of the debates Bolton is in are old.
To get Trumps choice of witnesses including Biden, charlie the whistle-blower Trump opposed them getting Bolton & the White House staff. The Senate leadership and some others oppose witnesses both on the principle Bill stated and because some RINO’s have family members on similar boards to Hunter Biden. However Trump & MAGA, some of the house Republicans want the Biden’s called. Trump of course wants the test case in the Supreme court on Presidential privileges.
This is what we call 5D chess. Trump forces the Democrats to circle around and do what he wants by opposing it and attacking volunteers or asking allies to attack him. Bolton is still MAGA but is acting, and willing to take the flack, while drawing the left into a trap by going against Trump. We have seen it a dozen times now. If called he will destroy the left.

A fair trial cannot possibly follow a totally and completely unfair indictment that didn’t have a scintilla of probative evidence behind it. The House indictment didn’t have the slightest glint of fairness to it. The ONLY fair thing is to dump the whole process as illegitimate from its inception and impeach the perpetrators. Unfortunately, the perpetrators will get away totally without personal consequences. At the very least, their names should be tarred and feathered in perpetuity.
