I for one will never get tired of hearing Bill talk about Star Wars and Star Trek.
“There will be lots of excellent folks on this cruise plus Steve” – I like you you subtly slipped that in!
I read a book about the first manned ship to travel to another star. I was halfway through the book before realizing that the way the civilization overcame the power and life support requirements to carryout the mission were truly unique. The whole of the interactions among the crew were taking place inside a ship that was the size of a beer can! Their consciousness had been transferred to a computer residing inside this can!
Google is simply pioneering this technology.

My house is populated w/ Star Trek and Star Was stuff. W/ a nod to Babylon 5 if you’re an observant fan.
The deep down purpose of those who rewrote the heroes of our past was to destroy those heroes. By this result, they expected to destroy the concept of America as a heroic nation and, by that, destroy America. They achieved their first goal and destroyed the heroes of our youth.
However, they did not destroy the hero within us. We found our own path to maintaining the concept of America. It is bloodied and dented but not destroyed. Exactly because that concept is the substance and sustenance of life and it thriving on this earth and in the universe.
Those who would destroy are in process of destroying themselves. They are the real deplorable, unworthy of even a small helping hand. We should and must get out of their way on their path to their well earned demise. They have chosen their path and should be required to pay the full cost of going to hell.
I was going to argue that the problem is not just the wokeness but also that the creators tend to be no-talent hacks. But I think I’m wrong. And I think “Sherlock” is proof Bill’s right. Steve Moffet is talented. He has a long track record of very solid work. And the first two seasons of “Sherlock” were excellent.
But the third season Steve got woke. All the female tertiary characters became Mary Sues to some extent, each one more capable than Homles & Watson. Then Steve went and added a sister to Sherlock & Mycroft who’s more brilliant than both them. Combined. Moffet and the BBC stopped trusting Doyle’s material, wrote their own woke stuff and the final season was… lesser. And that final episode, in the maze, was just terrible.
