Serious question – from the direct comments to Murkowski and company, to the one just now to Chief Justice Roberts, to talking about voters to even their own primary voters in many cases, Democrats seem to have given up even a fig leaf of trying to convince voters, politicians – anybody at all – of their positions and seem to have adopted to permanent strategy of ‘agree with me you knuckle dragging racist moron’. Why has this trend accelerated so much recently? I mean, it’s been there to an extend for a long time. “Bitter clingers”, etcetera – but they really seem to have pushed all their chips to the center of the table on this strategy now. Why the all in? Thoughts?

The only thing I can come up with – outside of the fact that they’re stupid – is that they think they hold the majority of voters in the country. Also, since the last election, they have been busy redrawing districts, changing voting processes that resulted in system ‘glitches’ that [of course] favor them and/or remove Trump from the ballot (we have the last two in CA, surprise, surprise). So they obviously think they have the upper hand. Or they really are just stupid.
I think it is simple. It’s all they got that USED to work. It still works on some people, but say the same thing all the time, and people ignore it. Especially when what is said is insulting, and does not reflect reality.
