Trump Acquitted: Has He Learned His Lesson from Impeachment Ordeal?

It is an old adage that the Vice-President is just a heartbeat away from the Presidency. It is equally true that The Speaker of the House is just two heartbeats away from the Presidency. The Democrats are not made up of stupid people, but perhaps they have lulled us into a false sense of their lack of acumen, and willingness to take whatever action they think they must to gain and keep power. I fear for the safety of the President and the Vice-President. God Bless America!

Nancy Pelosi actually changed the rules so she could not be removed as speaker, see motion to vacate rule change:

https://www.redstate.com/elizabeth-vaughn/2019/06/22/jason-chaffetz-explains-nancy-pelosi-will-remain-speaker-throughout-116th-congress…no-matter

She is mostly speaker because she is a prolific fund raiser. This latest move on impeachment was a huge mistake and will cause her to loose her position and she will be gone.

Bill, Scott – You have again earned my sincerest Thanks for superb political commentary. Not only I, but my 2 teenage daughters have come to rely on your repartee for guidance in responding to the ignorance of our poor, misguided peers. Too bad this country does not have Knighthood! (And of course, Steve is deserving too..)

Bill’s subtle point about aunt Nancy and uncle Chuck can use a little refinement though. I.e., While they are outstanding political opportunists (“sharks”) individually, they suck as team-players. -just compare them to their nemesis and our buddy, Mitch McConnell.

There’s a formulaic correlation to Trust That can instructively apply here – I believe it relates to Transparency, of all things:

Like, everyone knows Mitch’s prime directives are to 1) Confirm Republican judges, and 2) Win back the house next election. He’s a brilliant team player in that regard, forming smart(er) alliances with his/our side.

He’s also smart(er) than folks like Mitt, who forget that we unfortunately are at WAR!

while Nancy and Chuck are intelligent enough to recognize that they are in an existential war with us, their motives are opaquely self-serving.

I think Trump ABSOLUTELY learned a few lessons during this impeachment and the 3 years of constant investigations preceding it and will modify his behavior accordingly. Not sure the public will notice but I think he now has a better grip on how deep the deep state is embedded. How corrupt the Obama administration actually was that Obama still has his tentacles wrapped in the chaos. How the only truth in DC that the press pursues and thus the general public sees is what the most powerful DEMOCRATS say it is. The fact that, bugs are everywhere, traitors are everywhere, the political leadership of our country and many of the government bureaucracy’s has been firmly infiltrated by enemies of the country. You are absolutely right Bill, Trump is a fighter and IMHO there is no way in HELL he will sit back and cower at impeachment fiasco.

To all these politicians (like Romney and all the democrats) and media that are dribbling on about “abuse of power”. Where were they during the last administrations tenure for things like.
Obama using the IRS as his PERSONAL weapon to attack his political opponents.
Fast and Furious (Obama’s and Holder’s gun running operation that got BPA Brian Terry killed).
Attorney General Eric Holder declaring he is Obama’s “wing man”.
Trading 5 hardened terrorists for a traitor whose actions caused the death and wounding of American soldiers.
Telling the Russians he “would have more flexibility after the next election”
Telling Americans a complete fabricated lie about the Benghazi attacks to cover himself a few short months before an election,
Having people like Dinesh D’Souza jailed for a small mistake in donations while people like Hillary Clinton who had a 20 minute dissertation of broken laws by the FBI walks free.
and on and on.

There is something VERY broken in this country and if we quit the fight now by Trump saying “Well I guess I learned my lesson” we better get used to bending over

Nancy Pelosi is not an idiot; her constituents are! She’s been in office for 32 years! Even sad sack Gomer Pyle was shrewd enough to know “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!” John Q Public should have instituted an unwritten rule of term limits since the republic was established. But since he’s asleep, deluded and deplorable, this fool will return to his folly as a dog returns to its vomit.

There was a video going around shortly after the trial in the Senate began, possibly created by MRC, that showed the House Managers, Then (Clinton) and Now (Trump), arguing exact opposite propositions. What struck me most about that was not their flip-flopping, but the fact that they had all been re-elected to Congress for over 30 years.

Trump actually is who he is, stays that way, and it is working for we individualists who think each of us is vastly more important than all of the universe’s collectives combined into one.

This is why I voted for him and will vote for him again. The Democrats pretend to be what they aren’t and it isn’t working even for the Democrats. This is why I have NEVER voted for a Democrat and will never ever vote for one even if only a Democrat is running.

Most of my life, I have been an over the top libertarian and have even voted for libertarians as the least worst option. The Republicans of the time were even more pathetic than the Democrats. They were a bunch of Spelunkers who could only cave to the Democrat whims, fantasies, and tantrums. Trump has taught them they can fight and win. They actually fought AND won for a change.

Thankfully, we still have a chance to keep our republic a republic rather than turning it into a third world totalitarian hole in the ground without so much as a whimper.

I am reminded of that line in “Star Trek – The Wrath of Khan” when Spock lay there dying: “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.”
Demoncrats use this argument to justify taking the people’s wealth for “the needs of the many.” What a lie!

It is rather ironic that the Democrats have to take their morality from a movie about a totally imaginary future universe. All without paying any attention to or even caring about the universe in which we do live. It is not clear that imaginary universe can or even should exist. It is totally fictional.

There is nothing real about Democrats. Worse! They are so fake that they can’t identify the boundary between fake and real. They try to live in countless imaginary universes to the left of the real one in which we live. Thereby ignoring we who make their continued existence possible.

I say again: they need us but we don’t need them. So stop feeding them and they will soon no longer be a problem.
