Classic videos recommended in this episode, first by Bill Whittle …

…and then by Stephen Green…

Although he didn’t mention it, this is a song Scott Ott would have recommended in this episode if he could remember things, and speak rapidly off the cuff.

Steve, I remember the Sponge Monkeys singing “We love the subs, ’cause they are good to us” on the Quizno commercials back in 2004. They were like a train wreck; you didn’t want to look but couldn’t help it. Thanks for the memories!

Steve, the site was called “Rather good” as you can see in the screen cap, and at the time, that was the place to go for virals like Angry Kittens, or the early “insanity test”. I think that’s the place where I first saw the classic “Aphex Twin Rubber Johnny”. Good Times….

Nope, some company getting $140k for a magic “robot” isn’t America. America would be the nursing supervisor going to down to the orderly room and saying “Hey, what with the hospital being mostly empty you guys don’t have much to do. We need a way to disinfect rooms, see if you can come up with something.” and a couple of days later they come back with a handtruck, car battery, inverter, timer, and UVC lamp for $500.

This was like a 4-fer. Loved it. Then I started clicking on the other vids and wasted a good amount of time. Just 4.5 hours until lunch. Possibly time to try a Quizno sub. Wonder if they can get one of those hamster/rats to deliver?? Then after that, who knows? Maybe to bed early to binge watch some English crime/police drama. Or I could go for a walk with a mask. The choices are endless….endlessly boring. So this was the highlight of my day. And it just began. Perhaps reality is slipping away.

It’s still terrifying that in 2016 we were one rigged primary away from half of the country voting to turn us into Venezuela

Am I missing something? I keep getting lost in dead ends , there is no ‘home’ button on the menu and if I hit back I get logged out and have to log in again.

You can click the BW logo to go home. On a laptop/desktop anyway not sure if it’s been fixed yet on the mobile version.

I was laboring under a delusion which began in the 1980s or 90s that the logo at the top of the page was always the home button. I have restored the “Home” link to the top menu. Sorry.

Thanks , I’m old , I have to turn the crank on the phone and ask Cora to get me Doc Smithers

Another Ayn Rand prediction , I passed a guy yesterday who appeared to have a newly done haircut and I found myself feeling resentful. I harkened back to the part of Atlas Shrugged about the attempt at socialism in the 20th Century Motor Co. where people started looking resentfully at everyone else’s belongings.
