There is a temptation to make this just another Political post. To once again rail and rant against the rampant collectivism our time. If I say that Racism is now defined as Being White And Not Feeling Guilty About It, I’m not wrong. If I say that the Rule of Law, if it’s not dead, is on Life Support, I’m not wrong. Post-Constitutional Amerika is a dangerous place. We’re about one heartbeat away from gulags and mass graves.
History is being erased or rewritten. The Mob is taking charge. The State, through Draconian Executive Orders, is trying to push back the tide with broom. Civilization is unraveling right before our very eyes. The tighter the Commissars, like Cuomo, Newsome, Walz or Whitmer squeeze, the more chaos ensues. What the Commissars don’t get, is that They Started This! They lead by example. When they demonstrate their own lack of respect for the Law, how can they expect others to respect it?
All of the above said, NONE of it matters, without the Sanctity of Life. If George Carlin was right, and we’re all just bags of chemicals and electricity, without intrinsic value, then nothing matters. Black Lives? Meaningless. George Floyd? Meaningless. LGBTQ (silent E and sometimes Y), issues? Meaningless. Gun Control? Meaningless. Whatever it is that you get exercised over, NONE of it matters, if Life doesn’t matter first.
Since 1973, we as a Civilization, have been saying that Choice matters more than Life. That by embracing Choice, we show ourselves to be a Truly Enlightened Society. But, what if Carlin was wrong? What if we’re more that the sum of our parts? What if there is something unique and precious about every Human Being? If we all contain a tiny spark of the Divine?
If we’re going to Stand Up for a petty criminal like George Floyd, then we must Stand Up for the Innocent, because if ALL Lives don’t matter, then NONE do, and all of this is just Politics. Change My Mind.
One reply on “Life Matters”
You have to be alive to value something, anything. Without life, nothing matters.
If you choose to live, you must live according to what you are and what your relationship to what is demands of you.
If you choose not to live, do nothing and soon your choice will be made permanent.
