Well Governor Abbott (R) of Texas issued an Executive Order making masks mandatory in Texas. He didn’t convene the Texas Legislature to make a law but issued an order that has a fine as punishment during these uncertain times. Here is a link to Governor Abbott’s order. Ret. Lt. Col. Allen West didn’t take long to respond to Governor Abbott’s Executive Order in a recorded message and I agree with Lt. Col. West.

I hope Col. West is the next Texas Republican Party Chairman. I want Gov. Abbott to be primaried by someone from outside the current system who thinks like Col. West and Sen. Cruz and Mr. Whittle, who can go after these RINOs and these leftists at a moral level, who will fight, who will articulate, who is not afraid of the media or anyone else calling them a RAY-CISS or whatever they come up with next, who will point out that the emperor has no clothes.
Unfortunately, I must also pray that this person ticks a bunch of demographic boxes that oughtn’t to matter. But it seems that she will have to be a native Texan whose parents are legal Hispanic immigrants, or perhaps one of those and one who is descended from at least one African slave who was freed on Juneteenth in Texas. Or perhaps married to one. Or something. You get the idea. I hope Col. West is looking for her too.
