Republican congressional representative Louie Gohmert of Texas has introduced a bill
in Congress that would require the dissolution or, at least, renaming
of any organization that has ever been associated with supporting
slavery. Refusal would result in their being banned from participating
in Congress.
I support this bill.
Obviously, the bill will get nowhere. Making the point, though, is definitely worthwhile.

At first I was aghast, then I thought it must be a joke. I followed the link and saw it was serious and clever. Apply the Democrat’s logic to themselves. But, I wonder if it might not backfire. As I see it, the Left is like a virus that enters into the host institutions in order to destroy them. They are hihisists on a suicide mission. They are like the mass shooters who kill as many people as they can and then commit suicide. They turn the instistutions into instuments of suicide. Yuri Bezmenov explains it well. The subversion goes in phases. When a phase is complete, the instruments of that phase server no further purpose and are not only expendable, but become obstacles to the next phase. There are already calls to eliminate the Democratic party among the Left. I think it is mistaken to identify the Left with the Democratic party. The Democratic party is their instrument whose usefulness is coming to an end.
I agree. And they’ll never create their own party because it’s easier and more effective to do their evil outside the system.
BTW, that’s the same sequence I went through when I saw the headline.
Hooray for a Republican with both the spine and the smarts to call them out on their hypocrisy, absurdity, and racism!

How often do progressives suggest that having white skin is tantamount to supporting slavery? (slave owners were white… therefore…

you are naturally racist, and therefore, it is perfectly obvious that you should be canceled
I’m sure that Rep Gohmert is merely making the point that sweeping, irrational condemnation such as we are seeing now from the left is absurd. It’s a point that needs to be driven home again and again.
Defund and cancel the Democrats!
Now that they’re openly advocating overthrow of the country, I’d like to see more than that happen.
