Radical Chic Spread: See the Hot Street Styles on Portland’s Cosplay Justice Warriors

A Washington Post (WaPo) photo spread features Portland’s justice warriors in their mild mannered ordinary lives, contrasted with the radical chic of their “peaceful protest” costumes. It looks like Comic-Con’s cosplay battalion takin’ it to the streets, but these passionate fighters for racial justice and civil liberties expect to be taken seriously.

These folks show exactly what happens when the Outer Limits marries the Twilight ZONE THAT IMMEDIATELY GAVE TO Alfred E. Newman. Finally, we are able to see the Prodigy of ALfieeeeeeeeee “BOY”

You guys have it all backwards. The “before” pictures ARE the costumes and they are trying to pass for Americans! Want my proof? Just look at the face on that emotional support chicken! Trying so very hard to impersonate the Taco Bell chihuahua! It don’t get more American than that!😎

To amplify a point about how it is lost on these people that they don’t come close to looking like what they think they look like; I mentioned to a nephew after he had been playing video games for about 15 hours straight (this guy was 22 years old and had no job, or even a driver’s license) that when I was his age, I was flying REAL jets. He just looked back at me with a smile and a nod, and I realized that he thought I was trying to draw a SIMILARITY between him and me. At the age when he was living in someone’s garage and bumming money for pizzas, I was working my way through Annapolis. At an age when he was working through his 15th level of World of Warcraft, I was getting my Navy Wings of Gold pinned over my pocket. He eventually made 200 “levels” I suppose. I got 200+ traps aboard aircraft carriers. He didn’t see the difference!

Hey! You know that photo essay of the BLM rioters? That wasn’t sincere! We were really mocking them! We were on Trump’s side all along! Honest! It’s true as far as you know!

please don’t hurt us any more…

“Marxish” is just the ticket. I see Harpo with his eyes crossed, grimacing, huffing and puffing at the ringer football players in “Horsefeathers”.

Really enjoyed having fun with all those morons thinking they’re so badass, but then came Steve and…WOOT!…pegged them as the evil-minded critters they actually are and I couldn’t agree more.In my view. each and every one of them should have their citizenship stripped away and should be deported to a country where they would feel right at home, such as Cuba or Venezuela or China. I’m sick and tired of seeing videos of them attacking our citizens and buildings, burning and looting as they wish. It’s far past time for MY wish to be carried out and all of them sent away from OUR nation. The videos that meant the most to me recently were of two places in Colorado in which the citizens fought back and drove those worthless little sissies out of their towns and neighborhoods. I want to see many more such videos as the citizens of America rise up and do what should be done, and the backers (i.e. George Soros, et all) busted and their assets frozen and taken away for the treason they’ve committed. It’s a fact that it’s up to us, we the people, to clean up our cities, counties and states, and up to our federal government to get rid of the perps once and for all..

Agree with you and Fluffy Goat on Steve’s comment on BLM and Antifa as organizations. We need to face and accept that sort of reality before we can respond well or properly. I sure hope that AG Barr and the FBI have been making progress in identifying the people behind the scenes, their sources of funding, etc., and that a real case (via lawful due process) can be made against them for sedition and/or treason, or maybe just plain criminality.

It is also a good feeling to learn that some Colorado citizens acted responsibly in repelling an unwelcome intrusion into their communities. I presume no one’s Constitutional rights of free speech, assembly, or petitioning government to present their grievances were violated in the process.

It is when those good feelings become unreasoning “feelz” that we have problems. I also want to deport those who appear to be TWANLOC, and in my fantasy I don’t much care about due process either. It feels (feelz) like justice and fairness that this occur to our domestic enemies. That sense of fairness is a deep seated element in our psych, possibly exhibited even as infants before any formal education about morality can have occurred. But the liberals (and leftists) have the same feelings about fairness, just oriented to their interpretation of “wrongs” that need social justice to correct (and now even violence and destruction is becoming acceptable to satisfy their needs).

To win we need to be better, more focused, more virtuous than they are; using rational reliance on law and evidence to augment and support our very natural emotional desires and responses. [Jonathan Haidt discusses this using the metaphor of the rational rider on the almost overpowering emotional elephant.]

A couple more comments on TWANLOC have been added on the 8/11/20 BWN: https://billwhittlecom.wpenginepowered.com/civil-war-or-peace-trump-republican-nomination-speech-may-have-a-gettysburg-address/.

they were posed, so maybe that’s the fake feel… you’d have to see them ‘in action’ to see how they really appear.

Yes I know we served to protect and defend the Constitution and Bill of Rights, but I believe anarchy and destruction of personal, state and federal property isn’t one of those protected freedoms. Besides it is nice to dream sometimes…………

I was a Vietnam era veteran, but never saw Vietnam or combat, so thank you for your service in more modern times. Interesting that the front soldier is left handed, rifle slung right, eyes looking left, while the man behind him has that reversed … scanning … scanning …scanning.

I hope the lessons we learned about urban warfare in Iraq and Kandahar are being transferred to our respective national guards. Not a good idea to simply send people with rifles into our cities without applicable training, equipment, etc. At least when dealing with domestic enemies, everyone speaks the same language, even if they don’t give the words the same exact meaning in all cases. We should demand that the politicians bridge the cultural divide, not the soldiers.

Scott, re: the idea that women dislike having their torsos looked at. You have apparently never been to ComiCon. ‘Specially the one in San Diego. The dedicated female con goers seem to revel in putting themselves on display. A few don’t but 40yrs on, the Slave Leia costume remains a fan favorite by the ladies.

Also, what Steve said about BLM/AntiFa.

FG- I am currently at an undisclosed beach. et me assure you that woman of all shapes and sizes want to have their torsos viewed and appreciated. Even (especially?) those that should be wearing 1920s swimwear.

Is it just me or are all the members of support chicken lady’s family wearing the same furnace filter gas mask? Does the family only own one or, maybejustmaybemayhaps, did WaPo provide the costumes for all these people nutballs?

They don’t want anything in particular. In their foggy minds, they want to be freed from the responsibility of being human. Meaning, they don’t want to be responsible for staying connected to reality and acting accordingly. They especially don’t want to be responsible for the consequences of their decisions and actions. Their wish is to be the ultimate cause simply because they wish it.

Their louting and burning is just an anesthetic to cover the fact they don’t really want to live. They don’t want to take the actions necessary for staying alive. It is not that they want to live at your expense, it is that they want you do die in as agonizing way possible. Their momentary joy is your suffering. It is an “excitement” used as a substitute for living.

Mockery is the one weapon The Radical Left can’t stand – nobody likes having their religion mocked. If I had the time I could just spend all day writing about the stupidity that appears in The Washington Compost
