Partisan Experts: Cuomo Calls Probe of Nursing Home COVID-19 Deaths Politically Impossible

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says it’s politically impossible to do an independent probe for nursing home COVID-19 deaths after his controversial order requiring the homes to admit elderly Coronavirus carriers.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says it’s politically impossible to do an independent probe of nursing home COVID-19 deaths after his controversial order requiring the homes to admit elderly Coronavirus carriers. That’s because there are no experts acceptable to both his Democratic party, and the rival Republicans. If it’s impossible to conduct an unbiased, independent review, who’s watching over those who watch over us?

Both apple pie and cherry pie! Given a choice at a large dinner – say, Thanksgiving – I’ll always take 1/3 slice pumpkin, 1/3 pecan and 1/3 whatever fruit the other choice is…

Scott, I’m not sure Cuomo was really in agreement with Bill about “hiring an accountant”. The problem is that the NYS “books” do NOT include a substantial number of nursing home patients AS nursing home patient deaths simply because they were transferred to a hospital to die. Every other state includes those as nursing home deaths. Put simply, Cuomo ordered the books cooked!

He also ‘investigated’ himself on another matter and ‘cleared’ himself on that one too. Very convenient .

One shouldn’t take marriage advice or hair grooming tips from Albert Einstein.

BTW – Did you know Albert Einstein is actor/ comedian Albert Brooks’ real name?

Do you mean they are relativitily related? Einstein = major comedian’s cousin (E=MCC = MC^2). We cannot Brook such nonsense on this blog; Al_Biat it is just a blog!

It was once observed that x is an unknown quantity and spurt is a drip under pressure. It looks as if that is a dead on definition expert today. How many times can an expert make a prediction that is orders of magnitude off or not as much or more than they expected and still be believed?

It once was, the first time was a misunderstanding, the second time was a mistake, the third time disqualifies them from being an expert. Today if they support the so called narrative, they are as good as gold no matter how many times they are wrong. In fact, they never have to be right and are still good as gold.

More like fools gold if you ask me.

Apple pie and cherry pie are equivalently good. Generally, fruit pie is good. Preference is dependent upon mood and what ingredients are available in the pantry.

Pertinent to this video is the concept provided some years ago by Dr. David Brin, which he summarized in the acronym CITOKATE: Criticism Is The Only Know Antidote To Error. This concept has applicability to the legal process, scientific investigation, and any other endeavor where we seek “truth” over falsehood. None of us is so perfect that we would not/ do not benefit from tactful constructive criticism offered in a spirit of truth seeking.
I have not read his blog http://www.davidbrin.com/ in some time, but back then he claimed to be open minded about conservative, liberal, and libertarian views. I suspect now he is leaning more liberal but I could be wrong. I doubt he endorses the far left protests, etc., that we have been seeing lately.
Just for grins, I choose to pronounce it CI-TO-KA-TE [see-toe-kah-tay] with a pseudo Japanese sound. I hope this has no real alternate meaning in the Japanese language.

CITOKATE: Criticism Is The Only Know Antidote To Error

Shouldn’t that be “CITOKATE: Criticism Is The Only Known Antidote To Error”?
I find the irony very entertaining. 🙂

Would you believe me if I said I had planned it that way? 🙂
But it is always nice to have something I have asserted become self validating. Good to know that we know known is the correction knowingly needed.
