Reflecting on history

Bill,

  • Today is my 62nd birthday and seemed like  good time to reflect on the past with the election coming up fast.  Earlier today I was taking a bike ride on the Prairie Path in suburban Chicago .  The weather is perfect and the leaves are littering the path.  I was thinking about the choice before us and how far leftism is one of the choices.  You and I are peers on the historical timeline.  While I grew up differently, my father was career Air Force and I lived on military bases into my high school years.  I consider myself a Cold Warrior and never suspected we as a nation would be where we are.  Though, going to college in the late 70s Early 80s, I caught glimpses of the socialist/communist in our midst.
I could wax on for some time, but the gist of today, with the leaves following down around me, was that the choice is between the American Revolution and the rollback of the revolution to 7/3/1776.  I am convinced that the Democrats and their allies are representative of the Tories of the revolutionary period.  In hindsight, they never left the country and took the mantle of the Democratic Party in 1828.  As an ongoing criminal enterprise, they have continually strived to undermine the Republic,  the adoption of the progressive theory and the socialism that it espouses is the current rendition.  The goal, as I see it, is the rollback to medieval feudalism.  In the contemporary period I call it  Digital  Feudalism. Of course, I view communism as the more resent version of feudalism.  In addition, communism has always existed in mankind.  It is the expression of envy which the Old Testament recognized as a major sin.
  • One last note, in 1989/90, I moved to the DC area to work.  I would visit the monuments and really enjoyed it.
one day a scared thought went through my mind.  One day, people will stop coming here and all of this will be gone.  I hope this is not going to come true.
