Ralph, and all who participated, many many thanks for helping to take the edge off of an otherwise totally stressful night with some fun and great comments. And bourbon. And bacon. National Guard called into Wisconsin to help poll workers “transcribe” 13,000 ballots which were “misprinted”…..Pink states tightening as I write this. Still looks promising, but the transition to Pacific Standard Time, bourbon and age….I gotta sleep.

The “Record” turnout in MI and WI are truly amazing and a tribute to the GoTV efforts of the DNC. 90+% is remarkable. Hard to win when up against an organization like that. My Uncle Nicky would have been proud.

I’m now going to quit like Ralph/Ron and go to bed. If everything holds as is on the NY Post live map as of this moment, Trump will get 282 electoral votes. (That counts the pink states as going red and doesn’t count Montana since the Post has moved it from pink to gray, as if nothing has been reported..)

SCHELLER LEADS IN PA-7!

Republican challenger Lisa Scheller has taken the lead in the PA 7th House district, 53.2% to 46.8% over Democrat incumbent Susan Wild!

At this point, only the big city districts of the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas are blue.

Local news on the Scheller/Wild race is typically useless. One graphic says they ballots are all counted, and Scheller won, but the the propaganda readers say it’s only 76% in and won’t call it.

Polls prior had Wild up huge

AP, Reuters, MSNBC, excuse me, redundant I know, have Biden up. But look at this face. There are a LOT of pink colored states right now with Trump leading but not “projected”.

Thanks for that. I was afraid I had eaten way too much tonight but now I’ve barfed it all back up and I feel better.

My congressional district (PA-7) started the night at about 70 – 30 for the incumbent Dem. It now stands at 50.7 – 49.3, still for the Dem but…

If all the states that the NY Post live electoral page has leaning Trump hold and nothing changes in the solid red states as election season drags on into December, Trump gets 279.

I did the same count, but when the Post had virginia pink. Still, with Nevada and Hawaii left to report blue, but Trump keeps most of the states he’s leading in, Can Biden hit 270?

Virginia was pink when I did my count. It’s now baby blue but Montana, Idaho, and Nevada finally came in and are pink, so the numbers don’t change for the moment. Trump still gets 279 if all holds as it is now.

Nevada us trump up with 0 precincts reporting, weird.
It’s gonna be a long night. More Bourbon please!

I’m nursing my second shot of Bourbon. (Not counting red wine for medicinal purposes, I typically have 3 – 5 drinks per year.) Currently, Biden leads 118 – 98 (per the NY Post).

IIRC, Trump actually led pretty much all night in 2016 and Clinton never led after the first early returns.This ain’t that.

My wife just asked how anyone could vote for Biden. I have no real answer

As with any live blogging event, I shot my mouth off too soon….although is there any good time to shoot your mouth off?
I made that comment earlier when my friend Rachael Maddow and her network had Biden leading.

I’m just watching DW, and Fox News’s website. And TSL channel on Twitch, but there are only half a dozen people there and no one’s talking yet.

i went to twitch. Said no one was there. Do i have to create an id first?

I don’t know, you might need to. Do you see the chat stream over on the right? Do you see a little icon that looks sort of like two stick people? Click on that and it will show you who is logged in.

Make sure your screen is wide enough, then look for something down below that says “Chat” and click on that. If it’s not there, look for an expansion arrow near the top right corner.

I can’t follow this. Might have to give up and go to bed, this might be too stressful!

Ben Shapiro just asked Dennis Prager why he stays in California when the government takes so much from him and uses it for things he hates. Prager responded, “Because there are so many people here that I love.”

That’s a major problem, maybe the biggest problem, with leftism and statism in general. It holds you be means of what you love. The people, what you’ve built with your life – leftism holds them all hostage against you. In the immediate sense, you have things that you love, like Prager does, and you don’t want to live without them. So you stay, you pay ransoms, to be with them. In the long-term, when they’ve reached the point where everything is crashing down and they’re as desperate as can be, leftism literally holds the things you love hostage – they take your children away and threaten to hurt or kill them if you don’t obey, they tell you they’ll shut down, or burn down, your business if you don’t pay up.

(There are people who do this to you on an individual basis as well. My mother, my ex-wife, and my younger son, for example. My younger granddaughter isn’t allowed to see me because, among other things, I held my son to rational standards and called him out on things like ruining my credit rating via co-signed loans and all of the many things he stole from me when he lived here. The stories of the other two are too long to include here.)

I don’t know what the answer to that problem is, but it must be solved if we are ever to completely escape statists.

The wall? It’s painted, some kind of wall treatment I don’t know the name of. The desk is Shaker, solid somekindof wood.

I just stocked up on bacon. I have something like 20 1 lb packs in the big basement freezer.

my mistake. 40 years of making skateboards from Wisconsin sugar maple…I swore that stack was maple veneer not bacon! My bacon in California comes sliced and packaged in plastic! I want to live in a place where bacon comes 8 inches WIDE!

It must be because I see it every day but I have no idea what stack you’re talking about. The computer and second monitor are both on top of stacks of books. Maybe that’s what you mean?

Simple, in the foreground on the left, the stacks of what i now see as envelopes appeared to be 10″ x 30″ sheets of maple veneer! I’ve been looking at maple veneer for so long….The brain sees what it wants to see. OMG is that an analogy for tonight’s results?????

But Michael, MSNBC says Trump sucks, is losing, and is sucking MORE than Hillary did. This is so weird! /sarc

As far back as I remember, the networks have always tried to call states within seconds of their polls closing.

I do think we are in for a long night, though Steve Green has already called IN for Trump, so we got that going for us. Not sure how official Steve’s call is, depends what’s in his glass.

My lineup tonight: Eagle Rare, Woodford Double Oaked, and possibly Monkey Shoulder depending on how the night is going
