How about a real exit poll for a change. What was YOUR experience voting today? Tell your stories!
I voted early but my wife Ann voted this morning. We are in Columbia county Wisconsin. Turn out was busy with 7-8 people ahead of her and people around the block behind her at 6:25 A.M. with the polls opening at 7 A.M.. No protests, no National Guard, no riots. Just a tremendous turn out. Our little town is split in half politically. Or at least it was. Today will tell us much. Ann took her brother with her. That makes 3 votes for Trump so far!

I got to the polls at 6:00 am, and let an older gentleman go in before me. In New Jersey, we used to have fine, unnetworked electronic voting machines that our tax dollars happily purchased. Not this time. All voting had to be done with the unsolicited paper ballots sent to every registered voter in the state. They had to be placed in the return envelope whether you were going to mail them or not. You had to sign the envelope in multiple places. If you did not have any of that, you could be provided a provisional ballot.
Having all of that, I was then instructed to sign a paper that I was dropping off my ballot. In the pre Yellow Death days, we would sign a voter book which had our signature there for comparison purposes. Post Wuhan Flu, we apparently take everyone’s word that the signatures are accurate, as there was no way to check available to the election workers, nor, one would suppose, the various ballot collection drop boxes, nor the beleaguered county election workers. It , of course, is much easier to confirm signatures when done at the voting precinct level as opposed to the county level.
My eighteen year old daughter noted that she was registered to vote when she got her license and never signed anything but her license.
Being who I am, I essentially interrogated the poll workers to make sure they knew what they were doing, and to make sure I got it right. The head poll worker answered my questions, but one of the women was annoyed that I was asking. I get it, they are volunteers, but getting it right matters.
As is usually the case, turnout was small when I went. But, then, I live in the westernmost county in the garden part of the Garden State, and our population is nothing like the more urban portions of the state.
I was at the polling place at 6:30, waited 45 minutes, and this is not in a big city. We have staggered the workday at my office so every employee has 2 hours to go vote. There’s not a Democrat among them, so I did my part for Trump!
I’m curious as to how you know there were no Democrats?
Because we re a small office of 7 people and we know each other well. Believe me, a progressive would stick put like a sore thumb!
Stick out. Sorry
I HOPE we are not deducting for spelling errors!
Thanks!
Well, one way that I’ve tried is cite the pledge of allegiance. If their faces squish and they look uncomfortable.?..they’re Democrats. If their skin turns red and melts away, they’re leftist socialists. If they begin to fold in on themselves, and keep emploding until they disappear…they’re Marxists. If they explode and take you with them….they’re Antifa!
And if they ask “What you talkin bout”, they are the proud recipient of a liberal education?
Uh………huh……!
You gave me my first laugh of the day! Thanks!
We aim to please!
When I left to go vote this morning, I decided to make a video of my adventure. I’m putting it together now and will post it to the blog when it’s done.
Should be fun to watch!
