Uncanny Resemblance

A lot of heavy stuff on the blog and the videos these days, I thought I’d take a moment to point out something a little lighter.  Has anyone noted the new Bill Whittle headshot in the opening page of BWDC?  Undoubtedly a photo taking by a highly accomplished professional photographer (and an enchanting one if I may be so bold) who can make ANY subject look great…

If you’ve seen it,  does it not bear a striking resemblance to a popular cultural icon of the recent past?

Good catch, has any one else noticed how much Biden looks like Walter, the ventriloquist Jeff dunham’s grouchy old man puppet? I wonder who has their hand up his ass.

So, I had thought of this a long time ago, and seeing your comment, thought I’d put something together in photo editing software. I searched Angry Joe images to get something, and on Google images, the entire page was filled with Walter-Joe memes. Why bother doing the work when hundreds of people have already done so?! Here’s one. And by the way, Jeff Denham’s not only a talented ventriloquist, he’s an amazing comedy writer. The (Hiden) Biden vrs Trump(Grump) debate hosted by Achmed the dead terrorist gave me my first really rib hurting laugh in years. Amazingly, it’s still on Youtube.

The other Chap is Rod Serling, creator of the 1960’s American TV staple show named The Twilight Zone. He also did a brief opening introduction to every show, and that exposure made hi. Quite the cultural icon of the period.

Technical Note: If you use “Add Post” on the “Tim’s Content” page from the “Members” menu, adding photos works properly. So does the “Save as Draft” bit. (Substitute your own name for Tim if you’re not Tim.)

I reported the problem to Scott a couple of days ago.

Thanks Michael. Have you tried to edit any of your blog posts and get a error?

No, I’ve never seen that one. Always been able to edit posts. For comments, though, two things: there’s no way to delete them, and once they’ve been replied to they can’t be edited. (I’m very picky about spelling & grammar, so I often want to go back and fix typos & such, even long after commenting. Not to change meaning, just to clean up.)

Just found that. I think it’s like comments – once your post has been commented on, it can no longer be edited. Makes sense – prevents changing meaning or replacing the entire contents of the post with something completely different like Congress did with 0bamacare.
