Website is slow

Maybe it’s just me, but even though I have a pretty internet connection, anytime I use this site, it always takes a couple of extra seconds to load. And it’s not just when I come to this site, but as I navigate it. Is there a way to fix this?

I experience the same few seconds of delay. I anticipate it, do a few shoulder stretches and take some deep breaths. No big deal for me. Back in the day I worked in front of a computer 8 hours a day, I wished there was a program I could install that would turn my monitor off for 10 minutes. Time to refocus my eyes, and get off my butt.

It’s just an unfortunate byproduct of its popularity. There’s a big gap between small and medium web products, particularly cost and performance-wise. While some adjustments can be made to any platform, the true answer is more money (and possibly a different system – a good example is the difference between an online store running on WordPress vs Magento. The latter is more scalable but tends to need beefier servers and a lot of extra expertise to programme and run it).

There is a way to fix it, but it’s not cheap or easy. Yes, the site is slower than usual…an unwelcome product of increased usage. I’m working behind-the-scenes, and in between my full-time job shifts, to find some short-term fixes while we work on a long-term approach. I’m sorry for the inconvenience, and I’m working as fast as I can to ameliorate the annoyance.

Thanks scott, I have the same issue here in western wash. where we live, but waiting a few extra seconds is worth the wait. I watch you-tube on our tv and you guys and jerico green are the first things I look for every day.
