ALBANY N.Y.- On Wednesday afternoon, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo caught his state after school trying Covid-19 again. This marks the third time since March that this has happened.
“I was on my way home from work when I got a call from Governor Gavin Newsom of California,” said Cuomo. “Gavin told me that he caught his state with Texas, Florida, and New York behind the bleachers experimenting with Covid-19. He said that he had already called Greg Abbott for Texas and Ron DeSantis for Florida but they are Republicans, so they didn’t really care.”
Cuomo told New York that he has always taken pride in the fact that he has tried to be a lenient governor, but this is just too much. “How many times have I told you to stop hanging out with those republican states? Do you want to end up sexist, racist, and Islamophobic? How many times have I told you to put your damn mask on!?” Cuomo scolded. “This is going to hurt me a lot more than it hurts you. Until further notice, you’re on lockdown! That means a 10 pm curfew and no more than ten friends are allowed over at once!”
It’s clear that Cuomo loves his state, but doesn’t know how to get through to it anymore. “I’m not mad” Cuomo sighed. “I’m just disappointed.”
