Saw today that one popular “word of the year” for 2020 was Lockdown. The guest wordsmith explained that Lockdown was 1st in the popular lexicon in the 1970s as a result of prison riots – like the Attica Prison Riot from the photo. Prisoners had had enough, realized that they were greater in number, and made their voices heard.
As parts of America and the world re-enter Lockdown – it makes me think that a prison rebellion or general public riot is next. Here in Austin, Texas – we are still at 50% and mask required to enter stores and limited seating / take out only restaurants.
I pray that we won’t reach a violent boiling point, causing harm to more people and damage to more property – but I fail to see how we negotiate the peace with the components of an angry, violent left who celebrates the chaos and destruction.

My brother lives in Manor, and he’s pretty disgusted by it all, too.
What to do about it? Well I have long thought that one of the most effective forms of “resistance” is to do exactly what your overlords demand… only not in remotely the way they want.
They insist that you wear a mask everywhere? Great, do so… a clown mask.
Might as well enjoy the show 😊
I think in some places the start of resistance is evident with the number of people I see in stores with their masks just covering their mouths and not their noses. They don’t seem to be asked to leave either. I was in a grocery store last week and one of the elastic bands on my mask broke so I continued to shop with it hanging on one ear and wasn’t asked to leave either. Going down one aisle, one woman turned around an went the other way, but that was the extent of it.
Even small acts of rebellion require courage. I salute you!
