Apple Has Threatened To Ban Parler From The App Store

Apple has given Parler, the social network favored by conservatives and extremists, an ultimatum to implement a full moderation plan of its platform within the next 24 hours or face expulsion from the App store.

You fed all those krakens, now they are happy to eat you.
Maybe some people wise up and leave behind all those portable surveillance and ad-delivery platforms mostly fused to their hands.
Or at least switch to something that does not own your ass.

They’re moving as quickly as they can to silence all dissent. Ayn Rand said (not an exact quote): “When you lose free speech, you will know your country is doomed.”

Well, here we are.

Paypal, Discord, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google, Apple, Reddit, Trump Campaign’s email provider have banned the president and supporters like Sidney Powell and Michael Flynn from using some of all of their services.

Congress is threatening impeachment again 2 weeks before the president leaves office to presumably prevent him from running again. And who doesn’t think they will press for criminal charges against him after he’s out

8 weeks ago Trump won a second term. Today, Trump, the elected president of the United States and leader of the free world, can’t communicate with any of the citizens of this country

Zuckerberg, Bezos, and Dorsey did in 8 weeks what China, Iran, and Russia couldn’t do in a years long war

And the biggest kicker of all: people who would describe themselves as pro-freedom Americans either don’t know or don’t care and I can’t decide which is more disturbing

On the bright side people who are not happy with serf life now see that it was not tin foil theory that the corporations are evil and will use their power at will. The cat will not go back into the bag.
For those who keep supporting these robber barons I say you deserve each other.

It’s already out of the Google Play store. You can get it other ways, but this is complete bull crap. If the application doesn’t have a virus in it or some other technical reason, then how can they ban the speech that may (OR MAY NOT) occur from the users using it? This makes no sense at all.

It makes perfect sense.
“Any means necessary.” Remember?
It means ANY MEANS by ANY of their collaborators.
They want to destroy any “contradicting” belief or opinion or action.
Did you think the past 4 years of “impeachment” attempts and the false election was the bulk of it?
They’re just getting started my friend. Sad to say.

I just signed up for Parler.

I did not go to either Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store. I searched for Parler on Go Duck Go and signed up.

I have fountain pens, and typewriters and a Canon Eos that uses 35 mm film. I have to look up where the store are to repair or maintain them, and go there.

I can have all of them repaired or maintained.

I am not certain that removing Parler from Goople Play or Apple’s App Store can stop Parler.

It can only stop people who rely too much on the convenience of Google Play or Apple’s App Store from being able to find it.

Mind you, Google CAN stop Parler. Then it would be up to the ISP’s to cut Parler offfrom the internet, because their internet address could be passed on from member to member Samizdat-style.

There is a scene from the series Life starring Damien Lewis where he, a detective who was falsely accused and convicted of a crime and spent an appreciable amount of time in prison has sued the city of Los Angeles and got his job back is in a room full of people who do not know what to do when the computers are all down. They need to find someone. Damien Lewis’ character ponders:

“What if there was a book with the names and phone numbers and maybe even addresses of a significant number of the residents of Los Angeles all listed in print on paper?
