Thank You Jews

Today is Holocaust day: Imagine stepping off the train with your spouse, parents, and kids unaware that you have mere hours to live.

Europe do you miss the Jews? You persecuted the peaceful, assimilated Semites, and now the Semites of the crescent moon are arriving and telling you how it will be. Karma sucks.

We Christians owe Jews an apology and a thank you. The better angels of Christianity are Jewish: Charity, forgiveness, the rights of the individual, the Ten Commandments, the Psalms, Jesus Christ – all Jewish.

Crediting Christianity for goodness without acknowledging its source it like thanking the cup for water instead of thanking the river. You can drink from the river without a cup, but without the river the cup is empty.

Ethical monotheism is central to Judaism: One heavenly Father means all humans are sisters and brothers and there is one standard of justice for all people. Suttee, amputation, slavery, foot-binding, fgm, honor killing, caste, veiling were the dark practices of strange gods. Judaism was the answer to barbarism in the ancient world. The God of Israel is good and He never changes.

Each human has a “spark of the creator” within them.
Jesus would not have used divisive language to raise one above another.
The biggest weakness of humankind is ego. Believing ones self to be superior to others because of race, religion, nation, culture, etc.
All are equal in the eyes of the Lord. It is “WE”, not them or me.
If I wrong someone, I will apologize to them.
I will not feel ashamed of myself for the works of those who came before me.

Why would I owe an apology for anything I DID NOT do? How about we stick with the individual sins and everyone being responsible for his own actions and work with the remedies too. Most of us have no shortage in that department without adding made-up blame.

Also praise works better on similar individual basis without a generalization.

I don’t think anyone gets an apology, or deserves one, simply because of religion or race. We are one people.

The monsters are as real in this generation as well as those that have gone before. It is our duty to slay them. It is our honor to slay them or die trying.

They’re not under the bed anymore. God help us, danger close, men.
