As I read from my daily bible readings today this psalm reminded me that those people who unrepentantly lie, cheat, and steal in their daily lives, will have no future according to God. The Psalms sometimes seem like they were written with people like the Clintons, Barry Obama, and many (if not most) democrats/anti-Americans in mind, especially after witnessing the 2020 election and the corruption involved.

Psalm 58
(Holman Christian Standard Bible)
1 Do you really speak righteously, you mighty ones?
Do you judge people fairly?
2 No, you practice injustice in your hearts;
with your hands you weigh out violence in the land.
3 The wicked go astray from the womb;
liars err from birth.
4 They have venom like the venom of a snake,
like the deaf cobra that stops up its ears,
5 that does not listen to the sound of the charmers
who skillfully weave spells.
6 God, knock the teeth out of their mouths;
Lord, tear out the young lions’ fangs.
7 They will vanish like water that flows by;
they will aim their useless arrows.
8 Like a slug that moves along in slime,
like a woman’s miscarried child,
they will not see the sun.
9 Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns—
whether green or burning—
He will sweep them away.
10 The righteous one will rejoice
when he sees the retribution;
he will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
11 Then people will say,
“Yes, there is a reward for the righteous!
There is a God who judges on earth!”

I think those who lie, cheat, steal, etc. do have a future. The fact they’ve been doing it for centuries proves that.
Free Will allows us to choose. God has said there will be no interference in Free Will.
About the Psalm . . . Did Jesus not heal the sinners who were sick? Did he not forgive the woman who was adulterous? Did he not work miracles for all present, not just the righteous? The Psalm sounds like a vengeful rant to instill a sense of superiority in those who practice it.
The Bible is supposed to be the “word of God”. If so, then why so many versions of it?
It’s said that all “evildoers” get their comeuppance.
“Pray, then move your feet.” (Quaker wisdom)
If we want justice for the ones who cause us so much misery, then WE have to bring them to justice.
Pray for assistance if you’re so inclined . . . but then DO something.
Notice that I said those who “unrepentantly lie, cheat, and steal?” Of course people have a future IF they repent and seek forgiveness from God, but the people who stole the election generally have been intransigent in their sin, and many have grown even more brazen in their crimes. Remember that the nature of sin is degenerative, and eventually God gives people over to their wishes if they persist in their sin, read Romans 1 and see what I’m talking about.
Also if people rely on themselves alone and disallow God His vengeance, we’re disobeying scripture – read Romans 12:19. And the people in the U.S. have tried to bring the democrats to justice, but every avenue has been thwarted by the courts and government institutions that have been populated by leftists. We the people have nearly exhausted all the avenues by which we can receive relief, why not (finally) seek the Creator for His help? You kind of act like people haven’t thought of using every resource at our disposal, or prayed for God’s help from the start. I’m trying to remind people of what God has said throughout history when dealing with unrepentant, evil people.
Free will (agency) certainly is left to its own devices much of the time, as can be seen with many criminals who unrepentantly waltz through life seemingly unperturbed; but there is a law of consequences. Some of those chickens will only come home to roost post-mortal life, particularly on an individual basis. Some might affect the future generations. Judgement comes eventually to all.
But as a nation or group of people, a society can fall under condemnation, and the lack of righteousness leads to a withholding of blessings that can amount to destruction by their enemies; which has been seen repeated throughout history.
I agree that we shouldn’t abrogate our own responsibility to seek after truth, or to promote justice; but essentially we are told to judge not, and as was once stated by the Duke: ‘Let God sort ’em out’.
So what exactly is your point?
