It can hardly be coincidence…

As Douglas Adams once wrote – “”It can hardly be a coincidence that no language on Earth has ever produced the expression “as pretty as an airport”. Airports are ugly. Some are very ugly. Some attain a degree of ugliness that can only be the result of a special effort. This ugliness arises because airports are full of people who are tired, cross, and have just discovered that their luggage has landed in Murmansk and the architects have on the whole tried to reflect this in their designs.
They have sought to highlight the tiredness and crossness motif with brutal shapes and nerve jangling colours, to make effortless the business of separating the traveller from his or her luggage or loved ones, to confuse the traveller with arrows that appear to point at the windows, distant tie racks, or the current position of the Ursa Minor in the night sky, and wherever possible to expose the plumbing on the grounds that it is functional, and conceal the location of the departure gates, presumably on the grounds that they are not.”

I just came to the startling realization that the architects of the Covid hysteria’s end goal is that everyone – everywhere, be forced to live their lives as if they are inside a gigantic, impersonal TSA terminal with no actual exits.

What kind of sick, disgusting mind comes up with that?

And what kind of MORON thinks that even in the mildest, most milquetoast rules-abiding cultures in the world, this can be maintained forever?

Apparently the maximum length of time this has been managed was about 70 years, plus or minus a half-decade – in Russia. And even THEY finally had enough of it!

If Trump did ONE THING – and ONLY one thing right (and I think he did a LOT of good – but he did fall short on many things – but at least he TRIED, which is more than you can say about just about any RINO) it’s that he got the Elites and the puppet-masters SO MAD that they dropped their masks ENTIRELY. And entirely too early.

I’m seeing some hopeful signs that we are not going to take it much longer. But FASTER please! I’m on the back-half of my life and I’d like to spend it with as much freedom as the first half, not stuck in some Terry Gilliam visualized dystopia like Brazil!

Agreed…..commercial airports are hideous places. You know what’s absolutely beautiful? Being an “airplane guy”, I can say there’s nothing quite like a lonely, isolated, unmanned country airfield that you spot just before sundown after a day of cross-country flying. A place to set down, roll the plane off into the grass, pitch the tent and sleep “under the wing”. A great way to travel the fruited plain.

It’s possible William never travelled through Hong Kong International.
Thanks to the Brits, HKIA ended up being the most enjoyable airport in the world, year over year over year. Impressive, Amazingly Scaled, I dare say pretty.
However his description of COVID as being stuck in an endless TSA terminal, is right on, if that terminal was at LAX, or Boston’s Logan, or Paris’ DeGaulle.
