Sunday Night Videos – The Last Waltz! (1 of 3)

Sorry for not posting on Friday or Saturday night – both evenings got away from me. Since we only have three weekends between now & Thanksgiving, I thought I’d pay tribute to the greatest live album ever made – The Last Waltz! Songs featured four of the five members on lead vocals, so I thought I’d drop one of each. First off, Richard Manuel on keyboards:

Next up, Rick Danko with a pained ballad:

Even though the song was perfored as their encore, Robbie Robertson leads the song that kicked off the movie :

And finally, the first song from The Band that I remember liking as a kid, probably from seeing a clip on MTV, with Levon Helm on vocals:

Plenty more to follow over the next two weeks – who ya got?

Well mister if you had bothered to learn the Greek and study the original texts of the New Testament, you would know that your missing Friday AND Saturday night was part and parcel of the first angel breaking the seal of the first scroll launching the Apocalypse, but fortunately for me, I was aware of the hidden codicil in the apocrypha (it’s on the back in invisible ink) discarded by the Council of Nicea which projects the occasional delay on your part.

So while stressed, I was spared…thankfully. My comfort, of course, is what matters.

Seriously though Broheim Robert, thank you so much for the work you invest. I enjoy every minute of it. I do my best to keep up, and if you had missed a week, I would have…somehow…soldiered on.

Thank you for your dedication and effort. Much appreciated.

Thanks, Jeremy!
And thanks for the tip on Still Crazy – watched it over the weekend!

You’re welcome bud. Glad you enjoyed the movie. It’s on my permanent rewatch list. Inspires this old(er) dog to keep on reclaiming his youth. Lol.
