Shoplifting Epidemic: 24/7 Grocery Store Now Closes at 9 p.m. to Stem ‘Off the Charts’ Gang Theft

A San Francisco Safeway, which was open 24/7, cuts hours to shut at 9 p.m. hoping to end a shoplifting epidemic described as ‘off the charts’. Meanwhile in St. Louis the Mayor’s news conference gets punctuated by gunfire, which she describes as the “lullaby” with which she puts her child to sleep each night. Without enforcement, there is no law.

I agree with you on this, but there’s something I don’t understand – why would I buy stolen goods from a fence if I can just waltz into the store and take it myself for free?

I know this is awful, but I can’t help but laugh at the ludicrousness of all this. You announce you won’t prosecute specific crimes without realizing that encourages more of that crime? Of course they knew this. This is why you NEVER elect jackasses like this into office. EVER!!!!

For grins and giggles (I am admittedly odd) I looked up “murder in Chicago this weekend”
I got to “Murders in Chi” and this weekend was the third autofill.
The CBS affiliate has a full time page on their website called “weekend violence” where they do essentially a police blotter for murders and woundings. FWIW – 9 killed, 42 wounded this past weekend. There are 4 pp of each weekend going back to late Oct 2020.
The SunTimes has the type of interactive map that ACTS referred to in his post. In the past 12 months, 790 murder victims. 630 were black and 538 were black men. Over 400 of those between 17-35. Wonder how many Covid-19 deaths in the same demographic over the same period in Chicago. I haven’t looked it up yet, but I am thinking it’s close.

So I found a City of Chicago dashboard, but it is less user friendly than the homicide one.
The Covid has broader ranges, but overall since Feb 2020 – 200 people between 18-39 have died from Covid.
In the past 12 months, 433 Black Men were killed in Chicago by Homicie (gun or knife).
There were 579 murder victims of all ethnicities and both genders in 12 months.
I cannot go back to Feb 2020 for the murders to get a similar date range. But all of 2020 was 579 between 18-39, 476 if limited to Black.
For 2021, it is 499 so far of all ethnicities and both genders. 410 if limited to Black people.
So unless, Jan 2020 was HUGE. There were 1078 murders in Chicago from jan 2020 to today, and 886 for Black people.
Compared to 200 deaths from Covid over the same period.

I chose Chicago at Random. Pick any large city you like and do a similar comparison.

This is all a result of Lyndon Baines Johnson and his “Great Social Experiment”. LBJ got this boulder rolling downhill in an effort to buy votes with the largesse of public funds. Like all Leftist ideologies, it had a pretty name but the opposite effect.

The Democrats called it “The War on Poverty”. That title would be accurate by changing one single word to “The War for Poverty”.

Think about it … How many Democrat Leftist labels can be made accurate with a tiny little change? Like …

Critical Racist Theory
Natural Climate Change
Equality of Opportunity (not Outcome)
All Lives Matter

Etc.

One of the biggest, most imperative threats to our Republic is the Left’s impetus to seize short term gains over long term benefit and make it sound like they’re doing something good for people when all they’re doing is calling a turd a rose and slathering lipstick on swine.

We all know how that story ends, we know what’s waiting down the road.

Ask any Venezuelan.

There’s a great interview of the author Amity Shlaes by Hoover (she also gives a talk at Hillsdale) on the subject:

This is why I don’t get your implication that if Trump were just little nicer, things would have been grand. We’ve tried nice. All they’ve done for decades is implement their communist agenda (and that’s not an exaggeration) while trusting that they were acting in good faith. They weren’t then, and they aren’t now. Your review of the titles of the greatest hits of their agenda demonstrates that. I’ll add one….

Instead of…
“For the People Act of 2021”
…which cements the “most secure elections ever” by mandating mail-in voting and eliminating voter ID (eye roll)…

“How to Screw the People Act of 2021”

OK so I changed more than one word. Sue me. πŸ˜‰

“This is why I don’t get your implication that if Trump were just little nicer, things would have been grand. “

You don’t “get it” because I DIDN’T SAY THAT. In fact, I never used the word “nice” at all. Nor “pleasant, friendly, amicable, gracious” or any other synonym of “nice”. I didn’t imply “nice” thereby.

YOU took what I said to mean that because that’s what YOU wanted it to mean. The entire gist of my point went right over your head.

Think for a minute. Of all the things other than that one conversation you’ve seen me say on this forum, do I seem to be the kind of person who would say the things you have accused me of? NO, I do not. Therefor you missed something, there is some other explanation …

Which is that you don’t give a flying rats ass about discussing the point I was making. You want to discuss your own anger and outrage against people who have said the things you mistakenly feel I said. At least four other people did “get it” because if they thought I was doing what you were raging against me for they sure as hell wouldn’t have clicked the “like” button. They “got it” and you failed miserably to “get it”.

It’s insulting that you seem to think I can’t see what you were doing. It doesn’t say much for you that you were doing it either and if you didn’t know you were doing it that says even less.

That’s why I didn’t discuss my points with you. I answered you expecting you to realize what you were doing and even said very clearly and straight forwardly that you misunderstood me. I did that so we could have a discussion. You came right back several times with the same stupid crap. You’re doing the same thing here!

I am not going to deal with you as a sober, sane, serious, rational intelligent person when you do that kind of thing.

Because you don’t deserve that. You have to earn my respect the same as I have to earn anyone else’s. When you act like that there’s nothing at all respectful about it and you get from me what you deserve.

I’ll thank you to stop trying to put words in my mouth.

I’ve been reasonable, I’ve been civil even so. I’ve asked you to stop doing that three times and three times you did it again. If you’re as smart as you seem to think you are the best thing you can do from here on out is just drop it because as you yourself admit …

You don’t “get it”.

More semantics to prove you’re right (you’re not) while completely failing to express what you actually meant. What a joke.

If you were “reasonable and civil,” you would have simply clarified your meaning after my initial post. Instead, you’ve advanced this ridiculous notion that you weren’t saying that Trump should have acted more appropriately to a standard you have yet to define while specifically stating that he would have been re-elected by landslide if he wouldn’t have gone down into the pit and gotten covered in mud with the rest of the Democrats.

Then, like every single leftist pigeon who has crapped all over the chess board, you strut around like you’ve been victorious.

Give me a break.

The fact of the matter is that you can’t stop resorting to semantics to defend yourself by nitpicking the text and pretending you don’t know the meaning of what I’ve said, which is EXACTLY what the leftists in the media have done while conjuring their list of 40 million gazillion lies that Trump has told all the while being the biggest liars and con artists of all.

Oh and for the record, I don’t mean exactly “40 million gazillion.”

I have no use for discussions with people who can’t recognize their own failings. So stop pretending like I’m losing sonething by your taking your ball and going home. Either man up and explain what you meant or stop talking. I don’t care which.

I used to live in the Los Angeles Harbor Strip suburb of San Pedro. (Note, it’s pronounced “San PEE drow” not “San PAY drow”. If you want everyone to know you’re an outsider poser trying to mimic Hispanics, pronounce it the latter way.)

When I first moved there, I never heard any gunfire. Seeing a police helicopter was a rare enough event that everyone ran outside to watch it flying around. By the time I left gunfire was a regular occurance and police helicopters (ghetto birds) were overhead daily, sometimes several times a day.

I would keep a close eye on the various crime mapping websites and it was not at all uncommon for there to be over 500 reported crimes within two miles of my home weekly. That number never got below 250 in the few years before I was able to leave.

It was time to get out of San Pedro, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County and California. So I did.

I moved to a semi-rural area of the Mid Atlantic. My neighbors are very nice people. There is no crime at all here. Watching the crime maps here is a waste of time and effort. There’s an occasional bad check kited but that doesn’t threaten me at all. The last thing I recall is my neighbor’s high school aged son ticked off some other high school kids and they whacked their mailbox with a baseball bat in the middle of the night. That was several years ago, the neighbor’s kid has since graduated college and moved out.

But I still hear gunfire several times a week. Legal gunfire of people shooting on their own property.

The difference is here they’re practicing to shoot the kind of person who was doing the shooting in L.A.

Gunfire here doesn’t bother me at all. Why should it? I’m a regular contributor to that symphony of community security.

Let’s go Brandon! Unless we stop the unmitigated theft of elections by the thoroughly corrupt Democrat Party, AND get voters to actually pay attention, nothing will change. Our middle class will disappear and we will be left with the elites in power and the poor who are dependent on (i.e. enslaved by) the government run by those elites.

hard to disagree with your post. thee number one issue in america should be the election process but it’s not even close and by that i’m including the nefarious chicanery of the GOP. rick scott supporting murkowski for reelection? gtfo. realize he is head of the senate finance campaign committee which translates into mcconnell told him to do this and go public with it.

Politicians, deep state, media, education – none of them fear any consequences for anything they do regardless of how deadly, heinous or harmful to the country. Without shame or morals, anything goes as long as it rewards the parties perpetrating evil. We, who support bw.com, know right from wrong, and our behavior is ruled by ethics and morality. Speaking for myself, I may not always live up to my ethical and moral standards, but when I don’t I feel ashamed and know I deserve punishment. That’s the difference between us and them.

Go to “Bannons War Room” on Rumble for some of the latest on that and the globalists’ plans. Lindell recently posted. The mathematicians with whom he’s working have found things like the same percentage of 32-year-old’s within a state all voted the same way across all precincts. Talks about it in a video on the channel entitled 23,000 Votes Came From One Address In Wisconsin
https://rumble.com/voc89g-23000-votes-came-from-one-address-in-wisconsin.html

Lindell says they’re expecting to file a case with the support of multiple state AG’s later this month.
Plus Tucker just released his reporting on Jan. 6th. It’s a lot of fun watching the media try to double down and insist it was a violent insurrection. So fake. They should be ashamed of themselves. Looking forward to the obliteration of PBS and the rest…

Fun fact: China wants to control the market on AI, advanced chip tech, genetic engineering and two other major technologies that are hurtling us toward what the tech world is calling the “singularity.” It’s the point in history where we’ll have to decide whether to all become transhumanists assisted by biotech implants and hooked into a worldwide network or, ya know, remain human. Fun stuff. Couple recent videos on Bannon’s channel about the same.

This is why they want to silence the free speech platforms with their fake Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen who was interviewed by a congressional panel a week after making her bullsh’t claim. Another fun fact: She and her well-organized legal effort is being funded by Pierre Omidyar and other billionaire globalists despite her claims that she self-funded by selling crypto currency. LOL.

To add to that St. Louis Mayor’s cynical sarcasm, I suggest that Safeway and CVS in SF implement a soylent green policy for shoplifters. Those backroom detention centers can just be the processing rooms feeding the soylent green manufacturing machines. Shoplifting will eventually stop.

upvote just for the reference to one of my favorite dystopian films of the 70s.

i would like bill and his posse to address something for me that i can’t seem to get anyone else to discuss. why does eastern michigan university have (allow?) a blacks only dorm on campus? to be clear, emu is a state funded college that receives millions in taxpayer largess. why is that going on? is that not unconstitutional? am i the only dufus who actually believes emu isn’t the only university in america doing the same thing? what say you guys?

i have another one. the GOPe in ohio are gerrymandering jim gordan out as we speak (a strong trump supporter) and supporting anti-trumpster lisa murkowski in alska (according to gop election finace commitee chair rick scott). both those moves have mcconnell fingerprints and i want to hear what bill has to say about that.

They may not have addressed it as they probably don’t know about it. Send Scott a private message to an article. I’d like Bill and Zo to attack that one in a VS.

i was thinking zo too. these guys surely know about black only dorms. eastern michigan university also has what they call lgbqt friendly dorms which implies sympathetic straights live there too but that’s a far cry from black ONLY dorms.

I cannot understand where the desire for voluntary segregation comes from. I didn’t understand when I was in college and there were “black” fraternities on a fully integrated campus. Simply because those houses started at so-called HSBC? Why separate yourselves? And as Scott pointed out on last week’s(?) Backstage, he had to pull a fast one to get a black guy into his fraternity. But if you had white only or asian only organizations by rule, that’s bad.
Men only clubs bad / woman only clubs good.
White only org-bad / black only org-good
Even Orwell couldn’t dream this big.

men bad women good is the new world order ron. it matters little that most men do not understand and few women admit the truth “but there it is”….as eisenhower said.

Amazing that given how much destruction they cause that any Dems can still get elected.
Rush said it best in 2012 around the time of the election, “America can survive Barack Obama. America can not survive a people that would elect Barack Obama.”

Even here in Columbia, MO it has been brought to my attention that if the theft was less than $600, it’s not worth the police’s time to investigate, and so they just don’t.

The opposite of the famous broken window policy. Which is bound to have the opposite effect.

Wasn’t that part of the chase in Logan’s Run. When in sight of the fleeing couple, the police just stopped because they has hit their allotted budget for capturing them. Am I recalling that correctly?
