All, I’m usually not one to post on any type of forum, but have been a member for awhile and listening to Bill for quite some time. I’m an Operations Department Manager for a large power plant in southeast Michigan. My parent company is one of the first utilities in the country. I, however, work on the IPP (unregulated) side of the business. Over the last few years the company has become quite “woke” in all regards.
Just after Dear Leader Biden announced his vaccine mandate, my company announced ours (within 48 hrs.). The reason given is that the company has government contracts which makes us federal contractors. The further along this Covid debacle has gone on, the more it is obvious that the events taking place in our country are absolutely designed to destroy it. Including the actions of my company. They’re mandating getting your first injection by December 8th. Currently, about 80% of my department will refuse to get the vaccine. I’ve worked with some of these people for 26 years. They’re all great employees and excellent human beings. This is absolutely consuming me and I need to get this off my chest. I’ve spoken with my plant management here and informed them that if this mandate comes to fruition, I refuse to be the one to inform them or escort them offsite. I don’t know what this means for my employment future with this company, but this is the line I refuse to cross. I am scheduled to retire in Feb. of 2023. The worst thing is, this is a bomb dropped by upper management with 4 weeks notice, and will take place just before the Christmas holidays.
Please excuse my lack of eloquence, but I had to vent. These people and their families don’t deserve this and NOONE has the right to force or coerce you into any kind of medical procedure. Where do we go from here?

Brian, I am so sad to hear what is happening to you. I am at a loss to understand the reasoning, if there is any beyond ideology, for major businesses going along with what will clearly compromise if not destroy their companies. Like you, the only conclusion one can draw is these corporate entities are either on board with the destruction of the country or they are irrationally afraid of the consequences if they don’t go along. Surely they can’t be so entrenched in their ideology not to see the folly of their actions. That said, hubris is a terrible affliction and wreaks havoc on those is its wake.

I’m right with you. I am fully vaccinated because I am in an elevated risk catagory. (65 years old, overweight, high blood pressure and knocking on the door of diabetes.) My wife got one shot and almost died and will not get the second. If we go to somewhere where a “vaccine passport” is needed, if they will not accept her partial one, I will refuse to show mine. Then let the chips fall where they may. At the very beginning, I asked “what about people who can’t get the shot?” There is no plan that I know of. I guess these people like my wife are the new lepers, that have to shout “Unclean! Unclean!” and are cut off from others. Absurd! Just glad I’m not in school. It’s rare that I can keep my glasses from fogging up when wearing a mask. Things have to be perfect. I can’t read without them, and can’t wear contacts. Guess I could not learn then. Absurd! Children rarely die from Covid, and don’t really transmit it either.
Thanks Harry. I’m vaccinated as well. It was a PERSONAL choice as was my wife’s. These people are family and this is killing me. We spend more time together than actual blood family members. God save us from these communist cretins.
