CNN Cancel Culture: Lil’ Cuomo Benched Over Helping Big Cuomo with Sex Harassment Crises

NOTE: Hours after this episode was recorded, CNN suspended “indefinitely” its top-rated personality, Chris Cuomo. Here’s why this matters.

NOTE: Hours after this episode was recorded, CNN suspended “indefinitely” its top-rated personality, Chris Cuomo, as a trove of documents from New York’s Attorney General indicates the Lil’ Cuomo was more involved in helping big brother, and former Governor, Andrew Cuomo to fend off sex harassment allegations. The opinions of Scott Ott, Stephen Green, and Bill Whittle are unaffected by the pace of breaking news.

I am trying to recall when I swore off TV news (except for national emergencies of course…) in Israel and in Canada… on my yearly visits… likely summer 2010 when the distorted Mavi Marmara media slant infuriated and was the straw after decades of seeing the lies being spread… live…
That was when I discovered Glenn Beck on youtube… speaking the truth… He got it… and me as a subscriber and viewer…
Around that time I discovered PJ media and the Obummer denunciations I was craving… and a fair bit of Klavan and Whittle…
It’s been an awesome ride so far guys…I value your wit and wisdom and that of the merry band of miscreants you have gathered to your standard…

We are going back in time as far as what’s “the news”. When Thomas Jefferson was running against John Adams there was no such thing as an unbiased news source providing anything but disinformation regarding their candidate.
Nowadays, there is an underlying truth that you can’t trust whatever is said by our politicians, the news media, the scientific and medical communities, …

I don’t think he considered The Epoch Times, as they’re (obviously, in my mind) one of a very few legitimate news organizations.

As to the home page reformat – I do like the link to the recent member comments so I can get a snapshot as to what other members are saying. But only having one show as the latest is, how to say it, not great, Bob.
I understand that there have been many complaints about speed of load, but I would echo ACTS (TM) I am not here for speed, but rather knowledge, entertainment and some good (keyboard) conversation. The latter is truly the best member benefit and detracting from that is, well, less than ideal.

The only journalism I see being done is by Scott Ott. He seems to be the only willing to try to see both sides of any position.
Fredo would not do well in jail, even if it were a federal, luxury pen.

Once again, perhaps contrary to the advancement of his popular image, Scott hits the nail on the head. There is no news, there is only entertainment. These sorts of insights are what makes Scott Ott invaluable to us.

Sometimes that entertainment covers real events of interest to me. Even then I have to keep in mind that what I’m hearing/seeing is filtered through someone else’s lens to present the picture they want me to see.

All my adult life I have worked with the gathering, sorting, transmission , handling and storage of information in one form or another. It ticks me off to no end how hard it is in the “Information Age” to attain and apply actual, actionable information.

Even more frustrating and aggravating is the tendency of people to latch onto a source as though it were Gospel handed down from on high by the Almighty himself. Even when those sources are obviously ludicrous and patently absurd there are people who have such a pronounced confirmation bias will accept anything from sources they deem “correct”.

Some of that is due to the unreliable nature of entertainment being passed off as news … But not all of it. Not even close. Much is due to the nutty aspects of human nature and the gamut of human stupidity.

We need people like Scott to present viewpoints we may or may not have seen. I don’t always agree with everything Scott says but I’m always glad he says it. Thanks, Scott.

I don’t think I’m being hyperbolic when I say that the former gov should be getting charged with murder for what he did to the nursing home residents. Which would make Meathead an accessory to murder.
That assumes that there was any sanity runing the NY city or state governments

Off topic, and I know Scott works hard to make this site work as well as he can. But I much preferred the old layout of the Home page. It doesn’t seem the new layout loads any faster or provides any greater ease of use.

New layout also makes it easy to miss posts if there are more than one in a day. Also makes member posts pointless – went from @ 8 showing on the home page, down to three, now zero. I’m curious how traffic on member posts has changed across each mod to the home page

Here’s the funny part. With the new format this post wasn’t even posted yet on the front page when the puppy got me up early this morning. Now it’s late morning and the post is already gone from the home page.
This is “The great revamped comments section” 2.0

Yeah, maybe instead of “The great revamped comments section” it should be “The great tamped and damped comment section” … Because that’s the effect it’s having.

If I have to choose between more information presented slower or almost no information presented very fast, I’m always going to opt for the former and avoid the latter. I don’t come here for lightning fast page loads, I come here for the content. However long it takes to deliver that content.

And we all appreciate your responsiveness. We criticize because we love the site – thanks for everything you do here, Scott.

Love the new foray today – fixes everything that the incremental changes were hurting. Thanks, Scott!
