After Dinner with Kanye ‘Ye’ West and Nick Fuentes, Can Voters Trust Trump to Judge Character?

Trump still seems insensible to the danger of his associations. Is he just a bad judge of character? And if so, will the long list of dodgy connections cripple his hopes of return to the White House?

Former President Donald Trump dines at Mar-a-Lago with anti-Semite entertainer Kanye ‘Ye’ West, who brings white supremacist Holocaust-denier Nick Fuentes as his wingman. Trump still seems insensible to the danger of his associations. Is he just a bad judge of character? And if so, will the long list of dodgy connections cripple his hopes of return to the White House?

Trump’s judgement of character isn’t the issue. Trump’s propensity to play into the hands of his political enemies is the problem here.

When I was married I took pains to never, ever do anything my wife would think could be an indication of cheating on her. I did not go to restaurants and bars with other women, I didn’t make or get mysterious phone calls, I made sure that if my wife accused me of cheating she had no grounds for it. Because there are situations where appearances are as harmful as being guilty even if you’re not.

When you’re Donald Trump always and continuously facing bad press that applies in spades. People love to gossip, I’ve heard some of the most ridiculous, outlandish, impossible things repeated by gossips as “truth”. That it was not truth did not repair the damage such gossip did to the subject of the gossip. Gossip by its very nature is meant to be destructive and the Mainstream Media are arguably the worst, most vindictive, most backstabbing and backbiting gossips ever known to man.

There’s no way Trump was blindsided by Kanye West, Nick Fuentes and Milo Yiannopoulos. Trump has Secret Service protection and anyone who wants to see him has to be vetted by his protection detail. Most of this is done well in advance with known associates so as not to unduly inhibit the social and business life of a former POTUS. With previously unencountered visitors the Secret Service is well aware of who is coming to see the former POTUS days, hours or at least minutes before they show up at the door.

I guarantee you that people do not just show up on Donald Trump’s doorstep without a whole bunch of people knowing who they are.

That being the case, the final decision rests with Donald Trump himself. It’s his home and he has the say-so about who enters it. He can accept or ignore information and do as he pleases. For Nick Fuentes to get himself sat down at Donald Trump’s dinner table there’s no way that Donald Trump didn’t know who Nick Fuentes was. Same goes for Milo.

Trump didn’t just answer the doorbell, open the door and all in surprise say “Hi Kanye, who are your friends?” The idea is absurd. There was some point before that door opened and Donald Trump welcomed them in where he knew exactly who was entering his home.

He knew who, but he might not have known what they were or what they represented or what they were up to. If that’s the case, there’s no one to blame but Donald Trump because in order for that to happen he had to ignore information that was readily available to him and to be frank was probably known to people that advised him this ‘dinner’ with these ‘guests’ was a bad idea.

So here is one of the political faults of Donald John Trump that we see repeated over and over again. Apparently Trump is not capable of recognizing and avoiding stepping into political traps. Apparently he doesn’t care to learn about political traps and thinks for some reason he’s immune to the damage they cause.

That’s OK for a New York City playboy real estate mogul. It’s not OK for a President or a Presidential candidate because to wield power you have to WIN elections.

He didn’t actually do anything wrong by having dinner with Kanye West plus two. Where he went wrong is in having dinner with Nick Fuentes because THAT plays right into the Leftist narrative about Trump being a White Supremacist. Which plays right into not gaining and wielding power because of not winning elections.

For the faithful Trumpatriots this is a null issue. News flash! Not everyone is a Trumpatriot like you. Some of us, arguably more of us and certainly anyone not a self deluded Trump cultist, do not see things through Trump filtered lenses. Take your Trump goggles off and have a look at reality for a bit.

There are people on our side who are more than willing to forgive Donald Trump for anything. The people I’m talking about here not only forgive Donald Trump, they dump any and all faults he exhibits down a memory hole. It’s as though these things never happened because hey, it’s Donald Trump and he’s just not capable of mistakes or being wrong. Donald Trump agrees with these people as heartily as they agree with him. If he were on the other side and a Democrat Leftist, but he did exactly what he’s done in office, they would hate him down to his component molecules.

He had the best Administration since Ronald Reagan on either side of the aisle — Right up until he didn’t and let the COVID response get all out of proportion. Which played right into the hands of our political enemies and has probably done more long term damage to this nation than under any other POTUS.

Even under Biden’s administration unless Potatohead Joe takes us into a nuclear conflict we can undo much of the damage incurred under the Biden administration with a change in leadership. Kids not going to school or not schooled properly for two years is one of many long term detrimental impacts that branched from Donald Trump not putting his foot down and at the very least firing Anthony Fauci the first time Fauci challenged his leadership in public.

Much of what proceeded after that point is squarely and properly laid on the head of Donald John Trump. Instead of leading this nation through the crisis he led us into a disastrous economy and worse. He undid nearly all the good his first three years accomplished by the terrible way he handled his last year. In doing so he paved the way for a Democrat theft of the election (by not fighting hard the voting irregularities and illegalities done in the name of “Covid”) and teed up the Democrat Potato in Chief to make things even worse. Because the Democrats simply took the Trump policies and ran downhill with them as far as Covid is concerned they just amplified and took things to extremes.

Extremes that should not have been possible if Donald Trump was the ‘great man’ some people say he is.

Do none of you remember Donald Trump promising that “the nation will be opened up and just raring to go by Easter (12 April 2020)”? I remember that quite well. I was counting on that, or very soon after that because Donald Trump told us all that was what we were heading for.

There was a TON of evidence and opinions by medical experts that at least by the summer of 2020 we could move back to a normal footing having “flattened the curve” (remember that phrase? I sure as hell do.) and negated the specter of overcrowded hospitals and patients of all ages dying neglected in hospital hallways.

When we needed Donald Trump to be Donald Trump and do the right thing, he failed miserably. There is no excuse for this if you are a Donald Trump cultist. This is reality, you can bring any sophistry presented as excuses you want to, it’s still reality. Donald Trump failed America and Americans when we needed him most to be who we thought and he said he was.

Of course he’ll never admit that and the people who have allowed themselves to be sucked into the Trump Cult won’t either. A lot of people who are NOT Trump cultists are still willing to ignore or forget this abominable, abysmal failure too.

I might forgive Trump’s failures if we can get this nation back on track but I’m never, ever going to forget that’s what Trump did. When things were going well and within the scope of Trump’s executive abilities everything was coming up roses. When the crunch came and we needed a President to lead us through an unforeseen and hitherto unexperienced crisis, which is to say a real leader with guts and wisdom, Trump passed the ball to Anthony Fauci and Fauci and the Left found ways to make damn sure he never got the initiative back again.

And here he is yet again stepping into an obvious and avoidable trap.

Wanna bet that Mike DeSantis or Greg Abbott know exactly who they’re having dinner with every night and wouldn’t step in that same trap? Here’s a clue for you … They wouldn’t do that not because they’re more Conservative or better men. They wouldn’t step in that trap because they know it’s a trap and to wield political power you have to win elections. They know you don’t win elections by foolishly and needlessly giving your enemies ammunition to use against you.

It’s not Trump’s character judgement that’s in question. It’s his dumb propensity to play right into the hands of his enemies.

It’s not that Trump can’t judge character, I’d say that Trump isn’t afraid of people who think differently than he does. On occasion it doesn’t turn out well, but overall he gains knowledge, something Leftists avoid.

Bernie Sanders honeymooned in Russia and counts Castro and Che’ as heroes, but probably could have beaten Trump if they hadn’t pushed Hilary over him. It’s beyond ridiculous to paint Trump as sympathetic to causes others espouse because he had dinner with them.
We have a frame of reference with “the Donald”. He was the president in charge of the most accomplished administration of my lifetime against a full-blown media attack the entire time. Judge him on that.

I don’t think Bernie Sanders could have beaten Trump and clearly neither did the Democrat Party. That’s why they went to the extremes they did to put Hillary on the ticket despite the wishes of Democrat Party members. Bernie tied the nomination by delegate votes and the Party used the mechanisms they had in place to supercede the delegates with a thing they call ‘Superdelegates’.

The Democrat Party saw Hillary as the most viable chance of beating Donald Trump and winning the Presidency. They knew that if Bernie Sanders were nominated the election would be a slaughter. Hillary got nearly all the ‘superdelegate’ votes.

The national public polls said Bernie had a good shot but the internal Democrat Party polls said the opposite. That’s why they tamped Bernie down and pushed HIllary on us.

Plus the fact that Bernie has always called himself an “Independent” and that places him outside the direct control of the Democrats. This was less of a concern but it was a concern even so. Bernie would be a bit harder to control than someone like HIllary Clinton and a lot harder to herd than a Judas goat like Joe Biden.

As for Bernie showing well in the national public polls, Hillary was showing as well or better and was the easy pick to win the election. Hillary was expected to easily defeat Donald Trump. So we all know now how reliable those polls are.

We now know the appointment was made months before Ye made any statement that might be offensive and re-scheduled before all but one statement was made, so Trump was meeting someone who was a supporter. However finding out face to face where Kanye West is had to happen. This shift from Maga to weird Black Israelite with an obsession about Jews is very new for both Kanye West and Milo Yanopoulos. And they imply Alex Jones is on their team. Strange given that Jones has Jewish financial backers. Body language ghost says that this is a manipulation or sabotage of Kanye West not an ambush of Trump. If you had a friend that had gone to anti-Semitism would you confront them face to face? Its what we are told to do in the bible. https://youtu.be/wf_51cSEiBk

No one can blame Trump for anything Kanye said or did AFTER they’d had dinner together, a meeting that didn’t go well from what I’ve heard.
If he had done this at Trump’s place, that would be different. This clown has completely melted down. He definitely has problems.

Two years ago Milo decided to totally follow the teachings of the Catholic Church, and set up an organization to help gays go straight. This discussion by Bill and Zo happened as if they didn’t know this about Milo. It’s difficult to believe Milo could make this transformation stick but so far he has. The recent issue with his aiding or abetting the Trump meeting with Kanye and Fuentes needs to be re-examined with Milo’s new beliefs. Milo has a brilliant mind and is probably up near 200, so he’s interesting to listen to, but to judge him by what the veneer media says is to truly miss what he is doing or thinking. I am at a loss as to how to predict his momentum lately but surely his current condemnation of his own past gay lifestyle is important context that both Bill and Zo would normally have included in this current episode. Hey, nobody can follow every person or event these days and I fall terribly short of Bill and Zo. Which is why I joined this site years ago, and found and liked Bill when he created Eject!Eject!Eject! I quite like these unfiltered discussions as it makes me feel I’m in the room with them.

It can be augured that Trump had to meet Kanye West in person and see who his advisors were regardless of their reputation. To do the due diligence that the NRA TV people did not do with Bill. Trump’s achieved that. He has flushed them out. We still don’t know why they are going there but we now know who to look at Milo and Alex Jones. Trump is hands on. He can’t trust anything the media is saying, even staff have miss lead him on some issue, i.e. Fausci came very highly recommended. As did Rex Tillerson and others. Trump can’t proxy this job to some staff member or a Secret Service officer. He needed to see Nick Fuentes eye to eye. Would you want anything less?

I’m a MAGA girl All The Way. I love and admire what Trump did for our country. His inability to read people is the fatal chink in his armor, bigger than his self-aggrandizement by far. Giving out appointments as rewards for friendship was a YUGE mistake, and he seems not to have learned that yet.

You forgot the “but” after saying you love and admire President Trump. Your slip is showing. MAGA all the way? I seriously doubt it.

I am not a Rino and you are barking up the wrong tree. I’ve been reading AND POSTING FOR YEARS. BEEN AROUND LONG ENOUGH to tell the truth from carefully constructed fiction. President Trump is the only way. MAGA won’t gret there by throwing stones at him and giving fodder to his haters. Karolak’s stones were what I call a “tell!.”

Korolak does not appear to be MAGA to me. Half-hearted support is no support at all. I’ve seen too many of these posts from people who swear they are MAGA but are really wolves in sheep’s clothing. Let your aye be aye and your nay be nay. So be it.

Trump is not trying to read people he is trying to reach people, trying to get them to come to freedom. Whether its Kim Jong Un, or african Americans who vote Democrat because they are taught a bunch of lies. He even tried to bring Putin over to a path of democracy but Putin can’t go there; he and his people believe freedom is something the Russian people just can’t do. Trump tried to negotiate with the RINO’s in 2017. Now he’s trying to eradicate them and may succeed.
He never gave out appointments to friends. He picked a team of reformers (and a few whistleblowers) in his first term but with massive illegal attacks on Flynn and Manafort he had to plug a few gaps with well recommended people that turned out to be less onboard. This is the problem with people that say Trump is flawed. They are assuming that he can delegate. In some cases that’s not possible. Even when he was meeting Kenye West he was trying to find out where these ideas came form and talk him back from the edge. It has not worked, yet.
He did not pick weak candidates in the mid terms the numbers show that. Record Republican turnout but the democrats can fake 1.01 votes for every real vote the Republicans get in those 8 states.
