A Glimmer of Hope for the US

The recent Texas elections have provided me with a measure of hope during a time when hope has been at a premium… for me, at least.

Republican victories in overwhelmingly Hispanic cities and districts has some state Democrats worried.  For example McAllen, Texas – a border city that’s 85% Hispanic – has elected a Republican mayor.  Arlington, TX citizens have elected a Republican mayor as well. and the Vice-Chairman of the DNC has admitted that Democrats in Texas have a problem.  This is positive news… not just for Republicans, Independents, and Libertarians, but for the US in general.

Couple this election news with the reception Kamala Harris received in Guatemala this week, and I am beginning to see a significant opportunity for the Republican Party for the mid-terms and for 2024.  The big question is, will the RNC see the same opportunity, and if so, will they squander it?

Great post, thank you!!

What’s really significant in the McAllen election isn’t just that a “Republican” won. It’s that a MAGA Republican won.

Bianca Gracia and Latinos for Trump are doing yeoman’s work down in the RGV. They are converting Hispanic voters to MAGA. Javier Villalobos won in a county that Clinton won by 40 points in 2016! The establishment-backed Republican not only lost, but then endorsed the Democrat in the runoff.

LatinoTrumpCoalition.org is where you can donate and support their work in the Valley (and elsewhere) and their event in Del Rio on June 18, which is a lunch for Border Patrol agents to show appreciation for them.

This is grassroots activism, the real thing. It makes the Tea Party look like–well, a tea party.

Another grassroots site is precinctstrategy.com — this is where you can get information on how to become a local GOP committeeman to be a part of the MAGA takeover of the Party from within.
