Here is the personal message from HM The Queen on the eve of the 70th Anniversary of her Accession. I know, an odd thing to post on such an avowedly and gloriously US republican site, but I post it here partly for my fellow countrymen here on BW.com from across Her realms from the UK to Canada, Jamaica, Bermuda, Australia, New Zealand and many other places. I’m also posting explicitly for our American friends. From a young woman who personally experienced the close and essential relationship between the UK and its family and the US during the Second World War, and since then has, as our Queen, has known 13 US Presidents, she embodies the special relationship.
