I was very pleasantly surprised to discover this YouTube channel of a British comedy club that lets comedians say whatever the hell they want to try to make people laugh, unconstrained by the self-censoring effects of political correctness. It’s pretty remarkable really when you consider just how far the Brits have gone down the rabbit hole of hate-speech laws, which have meant that entire police departments sit in front of social media all day and go out and arrest people for what Orwell called speech crimes and wrong-think for what they post on facebook, twitter et al. Yes – you really can get arrested for speaking your mind there in the UK, and I’ve witnessed the self-censoring that people do in my chats with family there. They just don’t risk talking about certain subjects – even in private chat windows.
On their web site Comedy Unleashed says: “We host free-thinking comedians who leave their self-censorship button at the door, stand-up comedians who think outside the groupthink bubble and make us laugh. Our audience is open-minded and up for something fresh. Comics who try out new approaches and ideas tend to get the best reception. Nodding along to sermons with wisecracks is out.”
It would be nice to think that similar comedy clubs exist here in The States, although I have to admit it has been years since I’ve been to a club here in LA. Does anyone here know of any place like this?

I’m planning to go there sometime soon. Probably when Dominic Frisbee is on the bill. He’s worth checking out. Another English comedian who is making in roads is Simon Evans, look them both up on Youtube,.
