How did the desire to get ahead and take responsibility for yourself become a “white” thing? I think it’s a human thing. You have to have self-respect to strive for a better life. Anyone who says you’re acting white is jealous of your success.
Excellent discussion. AR describing being teased in grade school for his vocabulary, ‘cancel culture’, the general tendency to try to equate excellence with ‘whiteness’, is all a direct result of nihilism, which seeks to destroy values as such and which now philosophically totally dominates the left and the Democrats. The inevitable result of nihilism is descent into violence in an attempt to enforce that destruction of values such as freedom and indididual rights. Every action, cultural and political, taken by the left and the Democarts is dedicated to establishing a socialist nihilist dictatorship in America.
I trained and worked as a Chemical Engineer…. And gamed too. And sang in choirs. Priorities and time management.(Acting white, I guess) I painted figurines for the games. I would be considered white. But to get my skin tone I would need white, black, red and yellow. All the skin tones need different ratios of those colors. Olive skin adds blue.
Basically I am brownish pink. Just saying I agree, its jealousy and laziness. Went to a pretty much all white high school, and was bullied because of my grades. Human nature. Race has nothing to do with it.
I stand by what I have said elsewhere:
The people who claim this is “white culture” are also saying that if you aren’t white, then:
You are not important as an individual, only as a member of a group.
Your family is unimportant, if not downright counterproductive.
Independence is bad.
Self-reliance is bad.
You have no say in your own destiny, nor should you.
Rational thinking is bad, you should be in thrall to your emotions.
You are supposed to be lazy.
Your property has no value.
Your skills have no value.
Your authority has no value.
Your plans for the future, your dreams and goals, have no value.
Self-discipline has no value.
Your time has no value.
Your ability to produce has no value.
You should not care about the future, but rather should live completely “in the now” at all times, like a dog or cat.
From where I sit, it isn’t the white people who should be offended and outraged by this.

Let’s cut to the chase folks. “White culture” is being systematically demonized. This dangerous nonsense comes from the 600 or so billionaires that own the country. It is designed to shift anger at the coming collapse of living standards away from our rulers, and towards each other. Divide and conquer. Agitate and provoke enough animosity, violence, and cutthroat brutality, that absolute government supervision and command is necessary to supervise the herd.

Acting White… Sorry I’m new to the site. I’ve been retired a while, this brought up many thoughts. Here is my analysis. People can either think individually or collectively. Individual thinkers will always find a way to be happy. Collective thinkers will always be sad.

It is truly the season of lies and false narratives in our culture today. Unfortunately, millions have bought into it. We must fight against this with everything we have, for it will destroy us as a nation if we don’t.
As far as i know, nobodys ‘white’, though i have a friend whose pretty close and she is racially Mexican. I’m pretty much dark tan, and i’m 1/4 Mexican and 3/4 Irish/ Scottish, so describe ‘white’. Although Bill does look pretty fair.
My niece married a young man from Dublin, Ireland. He is easily the palest person I have ever seen. And he is still pretty pink.
Though I think he could catch fire in the summer.
Do you know that current copies of Booker T Washington’s autobiography have a note on the flyleaf that “this a work a work of fiction”!
Accusations are thrown around against some of the “PoC” calling them white(culturally).
My question is can anyone actually define what “white culture” is?
Zo expressed so perfectly what’s really happening when a progressive talks about white supremacy: it’s just their favorite tactic of projection. If their condescending, belittling words came from a conservative, all hell would break loose. But they’ve been allowed to say the most revolting things because they have the “correct, truly moral” ideology. I’m reminded of the Professor’s words to Peter and Susan in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe: “Oh, logic! Why don’t they teach them logic in these schools?” Logic has been replaced with brain-clouding emotion so people can stay decieved.
It never ceases to amaze me that so many people buy this argument that is absolutely antithetical to the basic argument against racism we’ve been promoting for well over a century.
Culture doesn’t have a race. The whole idea that race begets culture is the exact opposite of the concept that people are created equal no matter what their race is.
But it is now central to “progressive” … um, I’m gonna need those scare quotes again, “thinking”.
I have a new crusade (I know, a relic of the White, Christian, Colonial Patriarchy™). I want people to answer a question before I will engage them on racism. At all.
And that question has a simple, 6-word answer. If there is any more to it, they’re off-topic. And here it is. “Why is racism wrong”? No, I’m not implying that it isn’t, I know why it’s wrong, I want to know if YOU know why it is wrong and can express that thought clearly and succinctly – because it’s really simple. So maybe I’ll re-word it:

And here is the answer: It is unfair to the individual.
That’s it. That’s the core of it. It’s not a collective answer. It has nothing to do with one “group” being unfair to another “group” — because that answer is racist in and of itself. Once you say <racial group> is inherently <inferior/superior> in <such and such a way>, you’re probably engaging in it, ESPECIALLY if you expect to be able to apply it at the level of the individual.
There is no moral difference between “because you’re black I think you’re a shoplifter” and “because you’re white I think you are a racist.”
The cynical theorists beg to differ and spend thousands of words “justifying” their position, but it’s a house of cards. Sound and fury, signifying nothing.
I know, I know, Shakespeare is a relic of the White, Christian, Colonial Patriarchy™.
I think it is as important to read this book as it is to read Rules for Radicals to understand what we are up against.

If you want to see one of the primary tools that is used to delude Liberal Blacks and Liberals in general…just turn on your TV or go see a film. The indoctrination has doubled, even tripled in the last few years.
They often use emotionally charged stories, and scenarios, that are statistically improbable, and make them seem like they are the most common situations we have.
Liberals eat that up like candy. It’s the first thing I noticed when I got rid of my TV over 15 years ago.
Re: video games. Don’t consider myself a “gamer” but I’ve played a number of them consistently over the decades. There is a difference in the kinds games. Mario Cart or GTA is not the same kinda game as Europa Universalis IV, which is basically a nation simulator. The latter is not quite as edifying as reading Well’s history of the English. But a game like EUIV is far more edifying than Ghosts of Tsushima, for ex.
