Scott – if some go long, just break it up into two or three posts. Heck, Bill we all know Bill can go an hour on one breath. It’s why I watch TSL at work and not live 😉
When we shoot these, I’m usually either rushing to get to my other job, or eager to get some sleep.
ok, i guess those are important, especially the latter.
Thanks for the parks and rec shout out. Best-loved character indeed.
Ron Swanson for president! He makes that show worth suffering through Leslie Knope.
Ginsberg is alive and working. The Audio from a Friday supreme court case including her making a rather sharp remark contradicting a witness/ lawyer. She is in a wheelchair with some machines attached and that’s all they are hiding. Its a long time since they hid the fact that President Roosevelt was in a wheel chair. Note only the left hides a wheelchair, Texas Governor Abbott doesn’t. I suspect Ginsburg will make 100. Though old duck.
It is interesting that you mention FDR. I have it from good authority that his demise was self-inflicted at his vacation home (Little White House, GA) with his mistress in residence. He had gone from healthy to polio inflicted, wheel-chair bound, and he knew his mind was now failing at a time that was critical to the country. His death has been attributed to brain hemorrhage but an ER doctor who examined him confided to a select few with whom he had attended medical school that it was the result of a shotgun blast.
Ginsburg’s history of repeated bouts of cancer suggests that she will hardly reach 100. The fact that there have been doppleganger’s that are continuously being “trotted out” suggests that she is, in fact, still very ill. They will keep her propped up as long as it takes and, unlike FDR, she has never made decisions good for this country. (He made only a FEW; none according to my grandfather and even less than one according to my late husband’s grandfather who literally became an ex-pat as a result.)
Zeitgeist is defined as the general intellectual, moral, and cultural climate of an era. This has not changed. What has changed is a resurgence of patriotism and love for this country. This will continue and Trump will be re-elected in 2020.
Scott, if you want a fresh angle to revisit how the Leftists and the culture have shifted, check this story about how Portland coffee shop owned by a left leaning couple came under siege because one Snowflake who they employed found them to be insufficiently woke

Thanks, Bro. Bob.
I tried to find the youtube channel #MeNeither and was notified that this channel did not exist. So I guess the ‘woke’ employee destroyed her employer as well as one more island of free speech. I guess we have to look at it as though the employees that she persuaded to ruin the business deserved to lose their jobs. But the poisonous, ridiculously short-sighted actions of that generation aren’t just affecting them. When, when, will they be held accountable for their destructiveness and outright ignorance?
It’s actually on Instagram. The hyperlink doesn’t show well on Quillette, but when I clicked on it you still go to the videos. Here it is so you don’t have to search: https://www.instagram.com/p/BsbgD0_h4xW/
2020 will be the Jussie Smollett election.
I’ve been thinking the same thing.
I understand your time constraints, but I wouldn’t have complained if you went on longer.
The boss at my other job might have. But thanks for saying so.
The hit show “Last Man Standing” with Tim Allen has its Mike Stivic in the person of Ryan Vogelson. The show is seven years old now and Ryan is beginning to change and become a little more conservative, as he now runs a business albeit a pot business,
I hope that it is an intended path for the character. It would be interesting to follow and maybe a first in TV history to make a change from full on lib to a conservative.
Hey! You made it in! Yay! Welcome.
I’m watching the show as well, and was a bit surprised, albeit pleasantly, by his character arc. What I like, as well, is that Allen’s character has an open mind.
It makes for some great dialogue.
Yes, great show. Glad they brought it back.
I love that show! It’s one of the few my parents watch. That and house hunters XD.
