From a Quora discussion the consensus is 2 ton of fuel for the final landing burn, 4 ton for the re-entry burn and 6 ton for the boost-back burn if required (ie if returning to the launch pad). The original fuel load of the first stage is 400 ton. So, from about 1.5% to 3% of the original fuel load of the first stage is used to land. I score that a win for Bill!
The A380 should be renamed the European Spruce Goose.
At least they’ll have plenty of spare parts for the planes still flying.
