I think Trump will pull more of a Jewish vote than Obama or Hillary did, especially if Sanders is the nominee, with his ambitious effort at cornering the market on antisemites.
I hear that disgust with Sanders from some reliably Democratic members of my congregation.
They might not vote for Trump, but they will (hopefully) not vote for Bernie, either.

As you may imagine, first and foremost – they hate themselves

How would you propose they get past the 60 vote margin in the senate in those two years?
My hope would be with a 40+ state sweep by Trump, some of the red state Dem senators, especially if any happen to be up in 2022, see the writing on the wall and bring back the blue dog label. They work with Trump (more than “those evil republicans”) to pass some legislation they can show help their Democrat voters and possibly sway some Repubs to vote for them. It could be possibly that Trump gives them an olive branch and offers to either campaign with them or not campaign with a challenger as was rumored during 2017 but I don’t think anyone went with the idea and they all voted en-bloc to head to the cliff (didn’t manage to fall off though).
We’ve got a yellow light flashing on the economics board, let me wipe the grime off the label. Supply…Chain…Disruption. Actually though, should that go red, I think it helps Trump, in the short run anyway, due to his long term position on China. If there should be a major outbreak of Wuhan flu in the U.S., which still appears unlikely, then all bets are off.
