Another Day, Another Riot

Another riot in Madison Tuesday night after police arrested a guy, who happens to be black, for harassing customers in a restaurant with a bullhorn and a baseball bat. Businesses on State Street are still boarded up after the Floyd riots three weeks ago. A statue of Hans Christian Heg, an ABOLITIONIST and leader of the anti-slave militia in Wisconsin was pulled down and beheaded. Heg fought and died in the Civil War on the union side.

The founder of Black Entertainment Television has called for a black identity political party. You know what comes next: Hispanic party, Asian party, white party.

Which party will I belong to? (And we will all be compelled to belong to a party, there will be no opt-out.) My maternal grandmother was as brown as the Sonoran desert she was born in. There were silent Jews on my dad’s side. But my skin is white, my palms are pink, and MLK’s speech is being reversed; not by the content of our character, but by the color of our skin.

Yeah, I’m sure MLK would be turning over in his grave if he wasn’t more spiritually occupied in the afterlife with how people are sorting others into boxes based on color.
I really want to ask someone that says “so and so isn’t really black” because of some opinion if “he wasn’t really pulled over for driving while black” or “wasn’t denied a job because he’s not really black” or any of the other racist things that supposedly engulf the country (I’m sure they happen, just not sure at the numbers they quote).
Maybe we just all have to intermarry enough that the colors get too muddy to separate… like old clothes that are worn and faded.

Those who first cry “Racist” are themselves racist to the core.

You do not change a thing by changing its name. You do not change a thing by redefining its name. A thing IS what it IS and nothing else no matter how much you want it to be something else. Learn carefully what a thing is then think and act accordingly. All else fails!
The bottom line is: you cannot win a war with reality! Reality wins before you start the battle.
