The climate has been warming since the last Ice Age and sea level has been rising since then as well. “The Science” has yet to determine if the temperature has been rising because CO2 has been increasing, or more likely that CO2 has been increasing because the climate has been warming. H2O, water vapor is an order of magnitude more powerful as a greenhouse gas than is CO2, but nobody is suggesting reducing the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere as we depend on that for rain and water supply. It is just as foolish to call for reductions in the CO2 levels, as they are critical plant food, and have been several orders of magnitude higher in the geologic past, as temperatures have also been higher as well, and what that got us was a very fecund earth with lots of green growing things almost everywhere creating a true cornucopia of life! We are at about 480ppm in fact much closer to a desperately low CO2 level where most plants would die (around 180ppm) than we are at too high of a level, CO2 being critical plant food after all. There is plenty of good science out there that can be followed, but the science that is being done today is based almost entirely on funding that is only being provided to those who will support the necessary narrative driven by an agenda that only those in ultimate power control!!!
Glad you pointed out that increased co2 may be the result of the climate warming. The warmer the water, the less dissolved gas of any kind the water can hold; releasing it into the air. Since co2 is a bigger molecule than either nitrogen or oxygen (#1 and #2 per percentage respectively) more of co2, proportionally gets put in the air, raising the co2 ppm.
Also to give an idea of what we are talking about, 500 ppm is 0.05%!

I always find it funny when someone brings that up.
Scientifically, it would be better to wash your hands BEFORE you pee.
Think about it. Most people get up in the morning and take a shower which (presumably) includes washing their privates. Then, they wrap said privates in clean underwear and clean outer garments.
Their hands, conversely, are out in the world, touching all sorts of things. Cars, door handles, cash, tables, desks, etc. The very definition of “You don’t know where that’s been, or who handled it before you”.
Hands are much more likely to be dirty! A veritable cornucopia of filth. And then, you handle your clean privates with them? Ick. Wash first!
Then, if you don’t actually pee ON your hands, there really isn’t a reason to need to wash after. Pee can be smelly, yes. But it’s also sterile. (if you’re healthy; there are exceptions)
The proscription about needing to clean yourself after peeing harkens back to potty training. Your parents told you not to play with your ‘pee’ and ‘poo’ because “It’s dirty”. That’s just indoctrination into basic cleanliness.
Later, to discourage you from playing with that little stubbly thing (or in the case of girls, the little hidden wibbly thing), the same argument. “It’s dirty!” Not really, but by the age that you start being interested in those wibbly and wobbly things, you’ve been thoroughly indoctrinated against dirt and being dirty. So, it works again.
And this carries on into adulthood and sexual behavior. Sex is ‘dirty’.
Until you’re married. Then it’s suddenly not. (wait, wut?)

I just read an article by Travis Rieder, PhD who is the Assistant Director for Education Initiatives, Director of the Master of Bioethics degree program and Research Scholar at the Berman Institute of Bioethics titled “Science proves kids are bad for Earth. Morality suggests we stop having them.”
So not only is an unplanned pregnancy an inconvenience for the mother, it’s also adding to the parents’ ledger for carbon emissions. This helps explain the Left’s insistence on abortion-on-demand right up until (and after) birth. It’s a noble sacrifice for the planet’s sake. I wonder if those who think like this are happy when natural disasters and mass shootings occur killing hundreds or thousands of people. I’m just shaking my head.

But, yes, there’s an easy way to make a link. At the bottom of the post/reply box, there’s a chain icon. Looks like a figure 8 with a line thru it. Type, then highlight a few words, like “this elegant and finely crafted link”, then click the link icon and paste your web address in the box provided. It will attach the web address to the selected words, and Presto! An elegant and finely crafted link!

As you all point out, what they should be doing, especially if they believe that this is a dire struggle, is what we used to call Talk the talk and Walk the walk.
As Bill points out, the failure to walk the walk is indicative that the talk is BS.
That was my main takeaway from this too. That there’s no reason to believe these people and the grounds for not believing them are solid and pretty much irrefutable.
