The frustration of the last few weeks has shown itself in my words and actions. I am not violent, mind you. I just have less patience for things I disagree with. I do not believe that I am alone. This is exactly, I think, the kind of element that Conservatives and Independents really ought to watch out for.
We can “draw hard lines” and that’s okay in its place. The problem arises when we throw the baby out with the bath water. We can cause divisions that ruin our hopes with just a few missteps.
So, if I have spoken out of turn to anyone, I apologize, here and now. Know that I mean what I say about my philosophy. Understand that I maintain it without malice. Remember that I do not formulate my ideas so that I can be contrary. Also, know that I respect anyone that chooses the Conservative view of the world.

Always stay true to your principles and speak your mind. That’s what I do and I expect it from everyone else.
But never stop examining those principles so that you can understand them better and refine or even change them entirely in the light of new (to you) facts. That’s also what I do and I also expect it from everyone else.
