Fox News panel explodes when Steve Hilton accuses former State Department spokesman Marie Harf of covering up the link between Secretary of State John Kerry’s chief of staff and Burisma, the Ukraine energy firm that paid Hunter Biden $50,000/month for his lack of expertise. The revolving door between the federal government, the media, government contractors, and party politics, creates a positive feedback crony loop that guarantees taxpayer cash to fund corruption.

Scott reminds me of the Martin Niemöller quote:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
There is EVIL in the world and it does reside inside every single human being. I have always had the intuitive feeling that Scott other then in a religious context has a very difficult time recognizing EVIL.
When Scott said that what’s behind Joe is catching up quickly, I flashed to that old Far Side. Objects in the rear-view mirror are closer than they seem!

That might get you there.
The whole campaign/government/Media merry go round also tends to reinforce the extremely high regard in which they already hold themselves. Throw in some family names and inherited money and you begin to realize that they see themselves as a self created aristocracy but, dammit, we rubes don’t know enough to curtsy and bow.
@Iowahawkblog had another great point a while back: “If you want to get money out of politics get politics out of money”
I loved @Iowahawkblog’s handles he had for Marie Harf and Jen Patacki (sp) when they were working for Obama – “Buffy the State Department Tri-Delt”
Almost a disservice to Kristy Swanson, that nickname. Adding the Tri-Delt makes it OK.
The four characteristics of known deep state members:
1. Generally educated at the same universities. Yale, Harvard, Oxford, etc. Even the military personnel have been sent there for extra training.
2. Tend to see the freedom caucus as dangerous anarchists and a threat to the “state”. While seeing the state in globalist terms; UN, EU and alliances not the nation state. See nations as warlike in all cases.
3. They say “the Constitution is not a suicide pact.”; ” You can’t have perfect liberty & perfect safety.” And flavor safety in that statement. They can’t see how a free society could stand against an organised force. They may also lack self control and assume that all others are the same. Thus anti first & second amendment.
4. Generally atheist, or agnostic Jews & Catholics. (same thing in reality) General rejection of reformation principles in favour of a materialistic perfectibility of man idea. No original sin philosophy. No Creationists or evangelicals. Thus moral relativists.
I’ve argued with them on several forums and this is what I’ve gleaned.
Scott, as someone who worked in Silicon Valley for several decades for many of the hi-tech companies there, I must say that your comparison of the ‘revolving door’ in Washington, DC to that is inaccurate in the least. People in Hi-Tech exchange companies and DO switch often (and know people in rival companies) because the pool of qualified people for design and Mfg. of Microwave, Satellite, and Computer equipment is very very limited…by merit.
Government work is NOT “hi-tech.” Our political “class” are treating it as such to our detriment and their profit. To listen to Marie Harf spout the ‘more knowledgeable than thou’ democratic line on FOX tonight was sickening, knowing how partisan she is and her revolving door background. There IS a way to break this… but that means taking the money away from Government so they must become fiscally responsible to the citizens and that is unlikely to happen.
Ok, I just wanted to point out that ‘revolving doors’ in Hi-Tech commercial companies is waaay different than in politics.
How CIA pervy is it that she said “I can’t believe you are right here on couch with me saying these things?”
