Bill Needs a Presence on Parler!

Bill talks about getting the word out so I think he should have an account on Parler. The only social platform I am on is Parler and I would love to start promoting his presence on there. One other issue of note is the ability for us (Bill’s Brigade? – we need a name) to communicate effectively. This site is great for sharing ideas but not so great to communicate on as it is kind of clunky and time consuming. Parler is supposed to be coming out with “Dens” or private chat rooms that I think will benefit our cause greatly starting in January.

**Also, we should be setting up Zoom calls to be able to discuss and keep the conversation going 🙂

I joined Parler last weekend and frankly there isn’t much happening on there just yet. I think it just hasn’t hit the critical mass of users you need to have the content stream really moving. For instance twitter has a lot of memes, as far as I can see there are maybe 3 meme accounts on Parler, not to take away anything from Parler. There just isn’t that many discussions actually happening on there. Also even the well known conservative accounts on Parler, like Steven Crowder’s does post nearly as often as on twitter. I’m not going back to twitter obviously, but unless Trump joins Parler, its going to grow much slower. I think part of the reason for that is the most of the accounts are political, there isn’t really a gaming or hobbies community there yet, hopefully that comes along with further updates. The same goes for Rumble, I watch a fair to insane amount of Spacex, Paintball and Woodworking videos on youtube, but on Rumble there really isn’t any of that kind of content, yet. I assume that it is going to grow, I think because its not a new concept, the way that youtube and twitter where the first time around that the growth is going to be painfully slow. Part of the reason for that is also that every user on Parler or Rumble was a youtube or Twitter user first, and left because of the censorship, not necessarily because Parler or Rumble are better services just yet.

I agree. Rumble is definitely not up to YouTube yet as far as content and user friendly features. It has a long way to go. And yes they are mainly political at the moment but right now that’s where my focus is. I know Parler keeps announcing new features that will be coming so I am excited to see how it grows.

Hello, Robert!
I agree that these fellows need a Parler presence for sure, as I, like you, got away from the usual social sites years ago when I learned of their despicable data collection practices (and now it’s much worse, as we know).
I also like the idea of a Parler ‘Den’ for more private chats. I have serious questions about using Zoom, however, as immediately after the BLM/Antifa riots started, Zoom made a BIG commitment to supporting them and sent them a big check. I wrote to all the companies that use Zoom for their platforms and said I now refuse to participate in their presentations as long as they continue to use Zoom. Didn’t change a darn thing. I suppose their logic is that they’ve been using Zoom for a long time, which does take time to organize and set up, so they are hesitant to switch to another service.
Like Bill said, we must do things now that are uncomfortable for us, even giving up things that we like and enjoy very much, in order to take a stand against the enemy. Plus, I’m sure that there’s a hefty fee for using Zoom (or other platforms) which burdens BW Productions bank account even more. Perhaps we could do some research on alternatives to Zoom that’s reliable and not so spendy, that doesn’t have a political agenda that we all despise? Just thinking!

Hi! Thanks for the info on Zoom. I wasn’t aware of any of that. Glad you are standing up for your principles and sharing what you know to be wrong. It is definitely hard to buck the system and hard to work within a system you know is wrong but too difficult to change 🙁
