To restore gratitude in the US for what this country was made to be, we have to expose folks to this kind of story of courage and sacrifice. I have listened to all of them and have recommended them to many as this series will take your breath away. And Bill does an incredible job, in the research and the writing and the telling of the men and events. Watch all of them!
One more thing about this. In the book The Butterfly Effect (https://smile.amazon.com/Butterfly-Effect-Your-Life-Matters/dp/1404187804/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3PTLXDFDLMZRP&dchild=1&keywords=the+butterfly+effect&qid=1626542544&sprefix=The+Butterfly+%2Caps%2C207&sr=8-3 ) the point is made that if it had not been for Joshua Chamberlain, we could not have won World War II. Sounds crazy, but it is true as the US would not have had the strength to fight that war effectively if we had been divided into two nations as a result of losing at Gettysburg and thus losing the war. There then would have been two nations here instead of one, with not enough strength to win victory all those years later. Read it and follow the chain of tiny events that made Chamberlain so important to us nearly a century later.
